Interesting to look at the exhausts , most are running pretty nice except for a the odd one or two pushing a lot of unburnt fuel out the exhaust. Back in the old days diesel’s belched , that is how they ran , in my neck of the woods eventually they started tightening emissions a little, then they where only allowed to belch diesel smoke for 7 seconds 😊. Over time they got tuned a lot better , and with the advent of electronic fuel systems they could tune them even better to the point of even being able to control the injector spray patterns. We used to tow two trailers up to 68 ton , usually loaded to 65 ton GCM , and going up a long steep hill they would be running nice and clean , and we where not using the additional additive crap in those days.

Some folks are clueless! In Jamaica, traffic flows on the left. The trucks are American made (Steering wheel is naturally on the left. In the U.S., we drive on the right.) However, these guys have forgotten the rules of the road. Slower traffic hues to the left.

N my youth, trucks had no mufflers and laid down a smoke screen on hard pulls, nothing beat the sound of Hall-Scott V12.

Why they drive on left of the road with trucks left hand drive , must be dangerous in some situations blind spots all the time!

Wow! Reminds me of some of the 15% (I believe) Grade Steep Hills in sonoma county, california/ some guys would bust their drive lines/shaft hauling 80,000lbs up that dam hill

Not with a Scania V8 770hp , these trucks love mountain climbing and produce over 3700 NM of torque , nothing to compete with them ..

@@dermotmcglinchey282 If we exclude Volvo's D16k(3550 nm at 800 rpm vs Scania's 3700 nm at 1200 rpm)You MIGHT be correct about nothing matching with the Scania's ENGINE, but with the right transmission and axle ratios, American trucks can pretty much perform the same hill climbing abilities.

@@bmad1386 How many 16 litre Volvos are sold in America ?, when you’ve driven both the Volvo FH16 750 and the Scania S770 the Scania edges the Volvo on a long climb ..I know Volvo have upped theirs to 780 now but the V8 Scania will always edge the Volvo on long climbs , as for American trucks sorry not in the same league , any trucker getting the chance to drive one of the 2 Swedish trucks up the hills in Sonoma county would never want to go to American trucks …Sad to say American transportation is still stuck in the 70s compared to Europe , axle configurations double driver tractor units are totally unnecessary except for Quarries or some construction sites …Volvo even have a steering rear axle behind the drive axle which can be lifted when empty or running light , tri axle European trailers are far more stable than American trailers …
