crazy how much quicker up the hill trucks are these days, when i first started going over the kaimai you could eat your luch and have a coffee on the way up trucks were so much slower.
I worked for a NZ saw milling company 40 years ago and we had a few KW's and a mack Superliner,which at the time was one of the most powerful trucks on the road at 635 HP. Now we are looking at 1200 HP. The Mack seemed to take forever to get over the range ,often getting passed by a bloke who was running a Jimmy 1297 in a KW, and that seemed like something from outer space. it sure is different there now.
@@Mercmad where are you getting your info? No superliners 40 years ago. Kw were 435hp Detroit an superliners were 500. An as far as 1200hp these days buddy no way to hard on drive train. Theres a handful of trucks on the road owner drivers who have big hp but bigger all
Nice variety, always liked cabovers. Interesting seeing how almost all of them have dual front axles. Growing up in Canada I remember only one beast of a logging truck and the big Ocean cement trucks with dual front axles.

i dam love trucks and the Kaimais lol these trucks need some modern colors on them Scania in met blue is sorta close candy reds and stuff the trucks would look so much better
