a few yrs ago I came over the winding hill just sth of Blenheim heading for the ferry..11pm got over the brow to see lights all accross the road..it was a quarry T & T overtaking a B Train on dbl yellows..i know what company it was but I'll keep it ..
It cool you use drawbar trailer combination, looks almost identical to Scandinavian combos! Also cool with a mix of Euro/US. Are American trucks as cheap as European? In Europe, American trucks are more expensive because of duties, sadly..
thanks :-) in Denmark we have a total of 48 t on 6 axles and a total of 56 on 7 axles and 60 on so called modules trains witch is a type of b trains or a 3 axle truck pulling a 2 axle dolly and a 3 axle trailer...a 4 axle truck has a total of 32 t l drive a 4 axle man 35480 with a 3 axle pup trailer..we run waste containers whit robe wire roll off system.
I see that most all of the trucks in this video are short nosed or cab over (as we call them in the USA) with twin sterring. Is the twin sterring better on the curves the single sterring? looks like the big boys stay in the lanes better then the cars and small trucks. thanks for a very outstanding video. (Mississippi gulf coast, USA)
yes.. it steers much better on bends and curvy roads. as we don't have straight wide roads like in USA. yes they stay in lanes on uphill to let the traffic pass loaded. and when unloaded they can still keep up the pace with the cars even on uphill..

Love our hardworking truck drivers, and known for their consideration for other road users. My respect for these long haulage drivers who may be absent from home to make a few more bucks for the table.
I see the NZ trucks often use doubble front axel configurations. How heavy is total weight for trucks down there? Very interesting to see trucks and transport from other corners of the world!
Its not fair comparing india with new zealand India got over 1.3 billion people and New Zealand population Haa Haaaa Haaaaaaaaaaa Please check it yourself on goggle and let me please
What is the max payload for a rigid & drawbar in NZ, with 9 axles, all presumably double wheels except the front 2 steering axles? The rigid presumably has 2 driving axles. What is the same for a tractor & trailer with 8 axles?
thank you my Friend B Beck, i'm not a Truck driver just interested, As a teenager a mates dad had a couple of Commer Knockers HORRIBLE Trucks ( Nice sound), then upgraded to cab over Thames Traders equally horrible 5 speed Box Eton 2 speed Diff, 18 Imperial Tons on a single Tipper in the 1960's.
