Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced Pierre Poilievre in his new role as Conservative leader for the first time on Sept. 22 as the two argued over Poilievre's favourite issue, the rising cost of living.

Inflation is a global crisis and he never actually addresses the real issue, just plays into his fanatical, uneducated base. Disagree. Timing is everything, and this is Pierre's time. Everything up to now has made him more seasoned. He knew he wasn't ready, then. He is now, though.
Time wasn't right. O'Toole was a bone for the more centrist cons. He failed. They had to accept the more classical right side of the party leadership choice now.
Trudeau's inability to answer questions continues to infuriate. Pierre: "Mr Trudeau, is the sky blue?" Trudeau: "Lets not forget the facts, the grass is green, you are bad, I am amazing"
Not only Trudeau, all his government. They showed the flaw in the system. They never care to answer, and since there's zero consequences, even from the presss they get, why would they stop? Ridiculous. A mockery of it all. And now, let's be fair here. Both rained down their talking points against another without paying much attention to what was said or asked.
Entirely agree. The past 2 leaders of the CPC have been pushovers. JT now actually needs to do his homework instead of being in cruise control. Looking forward to the next election

Trudeau is the worst prime minister this country has ever seen. Since he took office, as a family, we've seen our cost of living go up. Gas, food, home heat, taxes. Everything up by a lot. At the same time, we've seen our services go down and our freedoms diminished. How many vacations and flights has Trudeau taken since he took office?
Same thing happened in 2012 when the conservatives were in power if you remember, gas was slightly less 10 years ago than it is now, groceries also went up considerably, do you remember?
Many of us remember the brutal hardships of a conservative government, one that Pierre pullthewoolovere was an integral part of and were soundly beaten steven harper was sent to run the international democratic union who's goal is to steal elections and take over countries, you all need to wake the fuck up

It’s not a global crisis, it’s Justin’s crisis. Hey Trudeau, the truth is we are all struggling under your administration, talk about what you are doing for Canadians is cheap, I haven’t seen any change, everything is expensive and the interest rate keeps going higher and higher.
Right? The only positive/change he has stuck to is legalizing marijuana and that puts even more tax dollars in the budget, so it could be argued this wasn't even for the people but for the pockets. This is not a global problem, its a isolated issue that our governments (NA) cant overcome. Greed vs. Morals.
@@thrillhouse7867 They all attend the same meetings in Davos, New York, etc. Trudeau's piece of the puzzle was to eff up Canada and weaken us. He didn't have to print money and bankrupt us. He didn't need to lock our borders and lockdown travel in the country. He didn't need to kill pipelines and tankers. He didn't need to impose and raise taxes. He didn't need to ramp up importing people, worsening housing prices and stressing infrastructure. But he did all of those in preparation get us to this crisis. Don't think this isn't planned, and don't think Canada had to be in this position. He may just be a puppet, but he brought us here.

Poilievre punches right in the gut! He's articulate, gives a lot of examples, brings up facts and is just great. The son of Fidel Castro dodges questions, stutters and brings up the weakest arguments possible.
You guys resort to all these and hominems because you have no real arguments lol. It's like children in the playground. PP never once actually stated how he would fix these problems and never does. He's just feeding into his uneducated, fanatical fanbase.
I'm relatively new immigrant to Canada. I came from Eastern Europe. I understand where money stealing via hiked taxes or socialism leads to. That's why I stand with Pierre Poilievre 🇨🇦
Socialism doesn't mean that...that's just greedy people. The CPC has had previous history of corruption as well. So I guess we'll see if this guy is any different...typically progressive policies would allow for immigrants to come to this country and get them help. CPC has always been against immigration.

Everyone! Listen to this part at 3:00: the fuel that JT and his private jet burned in one month is enough for 25 Canadians in a year! Thank you for fighting for Canadians, PP!
Yeah but he gives billions of our tax dollars in subsidies to big oil, gives away billions in our tax dollars to other countries, billions every year to the media to help fight against the "fringe minority", supports BLM, has great hair, suffered COVID twice after three vaccines, and that's not even mentioning he's a drama teacher trained and working for the WEF! If that's doesn't make him the best prime minister ever, than you haven't been watching enough of the mainstream news that he paid for!
It is just a cheap jab. When PP takes over he will use the same jet for the same thing and burn the same amount of fuel with impunity. And will proudly be on the side of coal and oil oligarchs.

Love it. According to Trudeau the way to combat inflationary costs inflamed by carbon taxes is to tax more and spend more. He's gotta know that large government spending does not bring down inflation. Neither does government dental care.

Helping which Canadians for real? You don't help Canadians for real by claiming the inflation is from the rest of the world and tax the taxpayer to starvation.

Not every family gets child tax benefit, working middle class doesn’t receive it, the people that do receive it is people that don’t work or contribute in taxes, so technically your screwed if you work, Justin has no idea what he’s talking about
So another tid bit, most WORKING Canadians don’t know this either, so new immigrants that never worked a day in this country or only contributed a few years, as long as they lived here for 10 years they get a higher monthly old age pension once they become 65 years of age average $1300.00 to 1400.00 +, where as Canadians that have worked all their life get a combo of CPP and OAS which the total of both is less than that, how crazy and unfair is that, again punish the people who work and contribute into the pension fund and reward the ones that never worked, what a great country.
You do realize that there are those who do work but it’s minimum wage so yes, they get the child tax benefit. It is based on income after all. The majority on welfare are on it until they get approval for disability. In some places there isn’t a separate program for disabled so the amount they get is higher than someone on welfare. Many have worked before an event altered their life such as an accident or serious illness. The amount given for disability isn’t even enough to cover rent for most. They rely on food and clothing banks. They ration the medical supplies that aren’t covered. They can’t follow their special diets. Most have little to no transit. Often isolated. Most who make these sort of comments usually don’t have a clue about the reality of these systems. It’s just more convenient to blame the poor. You have no idea how hard it is to get off of it either. With ODSP for example, you can’t earn more than 200 per month. Go past that and they claw you back which puts you back into a poorer situation. I don’t recall ever hearing anyone say that they enjoy living in deep poverty. It’s always the same typical stereotyping that comes from some of those who are doing well. You’re deeply screwed if you can’t work.
Trudeau will learn a lot from Pierre and ideally he implements Pierres pro business, lower taxes n regulations, and support for resources policies.....

Liberals have failed Canadians. We are poorer and working even harder just to afford food. While he dances around questions that hold him accountable. He lacks listening skills and follows the same script
Here's my conservative take on your comment...make better life choices and don't spend beyond your means. Don't rely on government to help you! Help yourself!!!

Poilievre has ten time the credibility Trudeau ever dreamed of and he just got appointed chief of the opposition. Imagine how things could turn if he would become our Prime Minister. It's not a matter of party or allegiances, it's about who can help out, change things and make sure it stays.
Riddle me this: Canadian government recognizes poverty level income for a single senior between $19K & $21K. My total income pension/disability: $12K. Were I to be able to increase my income from $12K pa. I would be taxed at 30%. SO, to make it to Poverty Level I would have to earn an extra $13,500, or work 900 hours at $15 p.h. just to achieve poverty. Can someone help me with the math here, please?
All we would have to do is make it illegal, punishable by law, for any politician to lie, deceive, miss-inform or dis-inform the public at any time or in any way and over half of these people would just disappear overnight.
