Capping immigration period needs to be done, inclusive of the students. There isn't supportive anything for them, work, food, housing. Brilliant , educated professional workers come here and are hindered from working. We have Canadian citizens who don't have these things, so adding more to the equation doesn't help. Many immigrants are leaving after they get a dose of reality that is "Canada". Dig a little deeper into the reality that is students who immigrate for education. The Feds created a problem by allowing bogus post secondary institutions pop up, like "Bob's college" .These places were scamming and recruiting students only as a revenue source. Again, poorly monitored gov spending .Now that they have found their own screw up do they 'put a cap on student intakes".

The balance is simple. We can’t afford to have international students come here right now until our housing crises and economy are repaired. In others words, until the Liberals are no longer in power and Pierre Pollievre can repair the near irreversible damage.
