HEADS UP! You MUST have at least 4GB of video memory in order to use the Advanced 3D Renderer. It won't show up if your system doesn't meet the requirements. I didn't know this before recording, but it makes sense since the new engine can support image-based lighting and lots of other great features. So, if you're not seeing the Advanced 3D option, check your system specs.
Dude this was great. I started watching your videos when I was in college as a design student and now I'm the head of a design department building motion graphic templates for shows.
Trying to follow you, great vid! But maybe something changed. I have all the expressionon values as you do but the extrusion keeps moving the object tin the z value.
The rog is specifically set up for the rectangle shape, but if you take a look at how it's built you could replace the rectangle with any shape. You'll just see I have a duplicate layer that acts as the stroke, so you'll have to link up the duplicate shape using expressions in the same way if you want to use the stroke feature. In fact, you could just replace the contents of the shape layers that are already in the rig and make sure all of the same properties are linked via expressions.
Jake, how u do List from Extrude form? do tutorial from this.. how create list. when layer have change something .. u change when work extruce, centre, back, front..
It's pretty simple! The drop down list is an expression controller effect. Just apply it like any other effect and customize the list. Then use if else statements in your expressions to do what you want based on which menu item is selected. I have a tutorial on if else statements, just search for it.
No it's not. Launch Into After Effects has far more content than any Skillshare class I've ever made, and lots of extra benefits you don't get other places.
Hey! Thanks for the great tutorial! Does anyone has an issue with the renderer? My Ae version is 24.1, but I don't have an option for "Advanced Renderer". Thanks in advance
@@JakeInMotion just classic 3D and c4d renderers. Already uninstalled the after effects, but the issue remains. Probably the best solution is to contact the adobe team
@@EgyptMotion I spoke to the AE dev team and they worked very hard to not require a specific GPU. You can view the minimum system requirements for After Effects on their website.
