This was perhaps the biggest letdown of the entire series, and pretty much when I stopped watching. They spent basically the whole series leading up to this point hinting at her parents being murdered by a vampire. Then you get clues as to who it is in season 5. Then the big reveal, and they spent the entire season playing him off as some helpless victim, then in the final 10 minutes of the final episode he goes from "Oh I'm actually a good guy" to "Nah just kidding I really was a bad guy!" This really should have been the way the series ended. There should have been an epic fight between Warlow and the other vampires and then everyone else in between. Huge losses from the other vampires, because Warlow is the most powerful being in the entire series. In any story, every character is a vehicle that serves some type of purpose. Whether it's boosting another character's importance, or advancing the plot or driving some kind of point or purpose (I.E I'm a bad guy I want to destroy the world and the good guys have to find a way to stop me.) They spent the entire series building up to this, making references to him, and painting him out as the biggest baddest thing to exist in this world, and then when he's finally revealed it just falls flat. They had a perfect way to wrap up the series, and just wasted it. A huge climactic fight with Warlow would have been a much better ending to this show then whatever the hell they ended up doing. Something about "Hep V" infected vampires or some dumb shit that was extremely uninteresting. So much so that I didn't watch but one episode of the final season. I still don't know how the show ended. Don't care either. They lost my interest with this wasted opportunity. I'm sorry, you don't go from Russell to someone twice is old and strong as him to "vampire thugs" and have me take you seriously as a writer. /rantoff
I mean if he was as manipulative and intelligent as he was portrayed he would've just pretended for a decade, or let all her friends die of natural causes and wait a little while until she decided to be a vamp 😂. Short sighted thinking on his part.
Right!? Like her kind was sopping for that? And WHY NOT? If Sookie, Pam, Jessica, or Tera picked me up like that by neck, I'd be rock hard before upright! ...if I survived it, of course.
I feel Sookie had the right idea to suggested they date. Could you imagine spend eternity with someone without knowing their favourite ice cream or their favourite song. I hate guys whom move to fast without knowing all the facts.
He waited over 300 years for her, she was promised to him by a sacred faerie contract, written in blood might i add. You dont break those. Also, suggesting to an 6000 old faerie vampire hybrid you should date is just bullshit. He gave her enough chances, she actually promised to marry him when he would help her with Billith, and she didnt fulfill her promises. Like Warlow said: "maybe in a thousand, two thousand years, you''ll learn to love me" lmaoo !
@@goldberg708 I don’t like Sookie but she was promised to him without her consent since she didn’t even exist yet. She also had a right to change her mind on marriage. Everyone does. Besides Warlow turned out to be a psycho who didn’t even really love Sookie, he just wanted her to fill a “void” inside of him.
she didn't promise herself to him and if he waited that long and truly cared about her well being and her being comfortable he can wait he is immortal she most likely would never live as long as him. She was being extremely nice if not too nice and understanding she just wanted them to get to know each other
Sookie was promised to Warlow in a contract she never consented to 3000 years before she was even born. No woman in their right mind would agree to that in the 21st century (okay maybe Sarah Newlin if it meant shed be royalty but she is DEFINITELY not in her right mind).
Nah that's BS her circumstances were horrible and being promised ro someone befor your born sucks..it sucked back in then it sucks now BUUTTTT she did agree to give that ass up for life in exchange for him RISKING his life..but we all know women 😊
To be honest, I started to hate Sookie after the whole Eric love thing, I mean come on, one of the baddest vampires falls in love with this little girl, but only because she's special, sorry no spoils for those who have not seen the series, she gets herself in so many dangousus situations only because we the audience know that she will be saved, which is stupid, any normal person would be causouse.
I’m sorry but the way some people hate on Sookie is annoying. You hate her because of a love storyline and because she’s get rescued sometimes. Just say you hate feminine women and then only like the cringey forced strong female character trope.
I don’t get why sookie was like this she made her choice and even if warlow turned her she would be like him she would still be able to walk in daylight and be as strong as him plus her blood could allow the other to walk in daylight
This always felt like a lazy way to end Warlow’s storyline. Just having him suddenly lose all patience with Sookie and making him an endgame villain was dumb. A case of what happens when a show has time constraints and people just want to be done with it.
@@GrimNightengale He's a frickin' 5500-year old vampire who feeds off people. Expecting him to be politically-correct and play nice-nice when you betray him and break your word, is silly. 😄
Sure, it is a show where people make blatantly stupid decisions in order to keep the drama rolling, though nothing he does is all that justified and he proves to be a bad person through out even as he seems to "be a good guy" for a bit...in the end, the smartest bit would have been to dust'm right form the start and been done with it of course, they would get less episodes then.
@@GrimNightengale The OP was talking about the situation in all it's context, not what's morally correct action. What he was saying was "what did Sookie expect to happen backing out of an agreement with a 5000 year old vampire that has explicitly stated he has an evil, destructive side to him?" What caused tension the entire season is while "Ben" was being pleasant and kind to sookie we, the viewers knew he has the capacity for destruction and evil far beyond what Sookie knew.
+Shay45 to me think warlow will win because he's older yeah I know Elijah is a original and he is a good fighter but if he have a stack with him then he can win but if he have no stack then warlow will win but how do you think Elijah will win just wondering
She play too much!! I seen this happening.Dude got that don't **** with me look. I was wanting someone to smack some stop playing with people 's emotions into her.😂😂
I feel she was stupid. Seriously she had bill. Warlow. She had Erick. Alcode. And she wasn’t even that pretty. I am like really girl get with the program. I am sorry but if I had been her. I would have done anything to be with warlow. Just look at him. Plus he loved her and cherished her. Plus what woman wouldn’t want to be a queen ? It’s not like he is raping her or anything. He told her the truth from the very beginning.
@@mrlb6874 Nope, I agree with him.and me speaking as a kiwi like Anna paquin is, she's ugly. Realistically she wouldn't have all four guys wanting her at the same time. Lucy lawless is better looking.Or Rachel hunter.
