I messed up at the start of our relationship. Kept some things from her when I shouldn’t have and when she inevitably found them it hurt her. I kept being dishonest about little things. She lost that spark in her eye, not only towards me but to herself too. Almost a year later, reassurance, honesty, reliability, and change, and finally I’m starting to see that spark again. I may not be abusive, but dishonesty hurts all the same. End the cycle guys, if you’re looking for a wife/husband, treat them like one. Edit: no cheating was done on my part, just white lies that felt necessary at the time and never were, and never are. If your partner has cheated on you, in any capacity whether that be emotionally or physically, it should not be taken lightly.

This is true to every relationship. Sad but true. The only way to fix is never cheat in the beginning or fuck someone else and expect they to feel the same. The spark will die day by day like a 100% battery phone, but you can recharge, that mean you have to never cheat in the beginning even if ya fight quite daily. Once cheat it's permanent even if you fix it. I have never cheat on my girl now wife but man qhen we argue back 2 years ago and she lock me out, I talks to other girls. She almost never forgive me, but lucky it's long distance girls only, never cheat or go sex with other girl so i am lucky she forgive me.

I used to look at my ex like that for 6 years straight , by year 7 it all went downhill, in 9 more months will be 9 years together and I can’t barely look at him. He hurt me so many times it drained me. I used to be called sunshine always smiling eyes always sparkling now I’m called grumpy, I went from shining to used and abused. Yeah, this is true for girls too I’ve experienced it first hand she went from js love and being awesome to manipulating me and controlling me. This happens waayy too often. I really believe this is why it's not about "falling in love." Growing your love for and commitment to someone, not dominated by emotions which inevitably goes through it's cycles, has a much stronger foundation. Not just in romance, but any relationship as well. Learning to love and serve and live for someone and finding joy in making someone else happy unconditionally is the highest form of maturity and love imo. There's def a lot more to say about this

I see this in my own relationship. I hoop and workout every day. She was drawn to me for that. When we were dating, I told her there are a few things I'd put above my woman. God, family, my job, my basketball, my car and my best friend. *She would be #7 on my list of prioritizes* She's laughing, acting like I was joking. She'd say stuff like "I can make you not to go if I wanted to" and I'd laugh heartily. She saw what I was about, but proceeded anyways, glint in her eye wnd everything. Fast-forward a year amd a half, the glint is gone. Why? We've fought REPEATEDLY about 6/7 of the stuff I mentioned. Myself? Just like Austin was smiling before and maintained his smile after, I did that too. Still kept living my life. She saw the "red flags" ie, that she wouldn't be #1 priority in my life, something she was hoping to be. She ignored them and took her chances and now she thinks I don't love her. My response? I told u what I was all about, so either u get with the program or end it. I'm not apologetic, again, because I laid all this out repeatedly when we were in the talking stage. Also I let her change me and she wanted to change EVERYTHING ABOUT ME that if I let continue, I would be somebody completely different, then why not get that person?

It's amazing how women will show you how they feel and how they feel is 100% based on how they're treated. Every relationship both people have to give their all to make it work and if she's the only one actively working she will be over it quick.
