Can I be truthful here? The reasons why I watch/watched your videos and did subscribe is because you are a normal human being. No glam, no bells and whistles. What we see is exactly what we get and that is always a welcoming package. I also liked the fact you were small enough of a channel where if we wanted you to see something, know something, or whatever, there was an 80% chance you would end up seeing it and a 50% chance you would respond. You also are not running after "hot" fan girls and getting caught in those cross hairs of trouble. We all know trouble always follows when that type of play happens. Lastly, because you are mostly personal drama free. You are not caught up in the RU-vidr bashing RU-vidr drama that seems to play out on here. If you have an issue, fine, say your peace without making it into a big drawn-out drama battle. So, I may not watch that video and no clue who you are talking about, either... but at least don't go making that type of video posting a habit. P.S> I do agree, when it comes to the departed, nothing should be made as a joke.

Just my thoughts. Real life is uncomfortable, but you have a gift of being able to keep peoples attention because you're a likeable guy, and you make it interesting. So, i would love to hear perhaps a more in depth story behind some of the tragedies you cover. Call the channel what you like, I'll follow. It's NOT easy to hold people's attention, but you got this. I've always thought that a lot of your best work has been your plainly spoken, respectful, middle-of-the-road social commentary; that is often uplifting and sometimes even a little uncomfortable in an introspective way. We all need to be respectful of one another's struggles in life, and not jeer at others from behind the safety of a keyboard. There are too many who do that.
I can't stand social issues constantly being forced down our throat, its a relief seeing content that has nothing to do with social issues. I have to censor what I watch to keep from being constantly pissed. I only watch your videos, I love your videos the best its all about your content and your voice is clear and pleasant to listen too

I was going to say she's the only true crime RU-vidr I watch. I love when she's able to bring family and friends of the victims on and lets them actually talk. So I hope he's not talking about her channel because she doesn't come across as bubbly/too perfect in makeup to me.

She even did a story that was about a black woman who was hanging out with all white women when she got drunk and fell and died. Ruled an accident! However, Kendal put her own sick racial narrative on it, and she made up this grand conspiracy that the white women really killed her. That was so incredibly DISGUSTING that I unsubscribed bc I don’t like liars, and I don’t like people who race bait just to get her subs attention to get views and make money.
Kendall Rae is okay. Check out Mike at "That Chapter" - he does a very good job as well. His humor, much like Lamont's, is always appropriate. Some RU-vidrs don't know when to be even a little bit solemn.
Hey Lamont! I love Mysterious West Virginia also. He's super thorough. His voice is very unique. I get how it might be annoying to some people. After watching him for a while I really think that's just natural voice and monologue style. I do not feel that he's really trying to make it sound a certain way. That's just his normal delivery. There's a few other people I like to watch besides here. "Faces of the Forgotten" has a similar presentation as you - the difference is he's more my age. lol

I’ve seen it where smaller RU-vidrs “call out” larger RU-vidrs to gain clout under the “no such thing as bad press” philosophy. I’m so glad I’ll never depend on RU-vid for a living.

One of the reasons I watch your channel is because you are so respectful of the cemeteries and the dead. I have seen so many, standing on the graves to video the names and info. Respect for the burial places is fading. Proper demeaner in places such as this don't seem as important anymore. I even see children not being taught to not climb on headstones, and in church, running around and being disruptive. You are old school. Keep up what you are doing and don't allow people to be disrespectful if you can call them on it. Peace....from a loyal fan.
I love your videos. You treat the victims and their situations in a respectful manner when doing the crime related videos. You show your compassionate side when walking through cemeteries by doing any damage control that you are prepared to do. Much respect to you. Some of the ones who cover crime stories have possibly allowed themselves to become desensitized to the stories they are telling.
I saw your channel because I watch so much true crime and at first they were the only videos of yours that I watched, then I just started watching all of them. You're a really unique man and I really appreciate the sincerity in your voice when you tell these stories. I think I know what true crime yt you're talking about and I completely agree because these cases aren't just casual stories to joke along to.
There's a reason we come back to your channel, Lamont. It's because you give the details and ALWAYS give the victims the respect. You never glorify the horror of what happened at these sites, but you give the information and keep it straight to the point.
I'm a BIG BIG FAN of how you go about doing your stories on these people who deserve our respect as they were taken from this earth in such violent ways. & I'm really big into true crime and have been for at least a decade (probably more) but I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to watch ANY true crime stuff that involves ANY 'disrespect' like stuff like: victim-blaming, insensitive joke making, & ESPECIALLY makeup-putting-on!
Danielle Kirsty in the UK is a great one. She is VERY respectful (and actually has a degree in Criminology). She has a ton of empathy for the victims and their families. She talks about all sorts of crime and will give trigger warnings when certain topics may be discussed at the beginning of each video and then again when that part of the story is coming up. I’ve never heard her make jokes or laugh at the victims expense - occasionally at the criminal but those times are few and far between and it’s usually because they have some stupid mindset.
There’s another one , Zara V who is an Australian and a lawyer and she’s very kind and empathetic, also Georgia Marie and Brooke Makenna seem to really care

I know RU-vidrs need to engage with their audience and the best way is to have a laugh along the way. I'm a huge true crime fan and have watched thousands of videos, and to be honest, I wouldn't watch them if it wasn't for their energetic outgoing personality and their ability to present an interesting and intriguing case with all the facts and evidence.Then there are those who stare straight into the camera and they are immobile and rigid....no facial expression, just sitting dead still and reading from a computer screen. Those types don't hold my attention for long and I won't subscribe. I think it's okay to throw in the odd joke and make a few wise-cracks. It's entertaining, but there is a wrong way and a right way to go about it.😊
Go for it! Tell them what is up! I am an RN who worked in Critical Care at a Trauma Center. People who do become jaded need to be checked. I have checked many people for being inappropriate in front of the patients and families who are saying goodbye to their loved ones. We have a responsibility to our patients and people who have passed that people are telling their story. Respect, Compassion, Reverence, Peace, and Kindness is what every person who is involved with telling the story or taking care of the dying or taking care of the family at the graveyard.
Mysterious West Virginia, I have been watching him for a few years and his cases are all real life. Many of the people have never been found, he'll do updates if New information comes out, or if the case is solved. His work is excellent! Best true crime show on RU-vid. I think the voice he uses is his natural voice.-Lori Jones.
In these days where EVERYTHING is over hyped, I love the organic nature and feel of your channel. It's true story telling. I tried my hand on RU-vid at true crime but couldn't compete with other channels. I have always been a victims first believer and don't care for anyone using them for notoriety. Some people are indeed very disrespectful here on RU-vid. And one of the things I hate are the ads that are built in to the videos now which seems to clash with the topic and horror of the crime. So I get where you're coming from. I started watching your videos and others similar shortly after my dad passed away. Partly cause the whole concept of death really affected me so I started following some coroners along with RU-vidrs who go to cemeteries to various graves. In some way it was my way to get more "comfortable" with the aspect of death. What I really love about your videos is how respectful you are of the graves and of telling their stories. You're helping keep their memories alive that way and I think that's a great thing. I think RU-vidrs who yuck it up in their videos will eventually lose followers since it becomes distasteful if they're laughing and making jokes and whatnot. I don't feel that there's need to call them out I think they'll just be weeded out organically since many people are going to see the disrespect. My thoughts, just continue doing you cause you have a great platform. Adding a murder mystery channel also is cool, and I'm sure you'll treat it with all of the respect you've shown in the past! I follow all your channels. I appreciate the respectful way you remember those who have passed away even those who were despicable in life. Not everyone can tell a story well enough to hold the attention of most people (especially me) but you do it extremely well. You do you.

Did not know about this channel but glad it did pop up. As much as I like to visit graveyards I find the story the most interesting about how people died, or what they did in life (some of that you can get from a obituary) or other sources etc. Also the "crime" story videos are nice. Sadly a majority of people just die and there is not much to say about it, one day you are gong and that is it. People have why to little respect for life these days and I blame pop culture and social media for that. I miss the old RU-vid where it was more a peoples platform compared to what it is now, everything is just about $$$ all the time everywhere. So sick and tired of that, what happened to personal interests, sharing stuff with others, spending time with friends and family etc. What a crappy world we have now. Thanks Lamont.

As a person who enjoys true crime and hearing facts for a first time, all I ask is you don't do like everyone else on here.. don't cover the same shit everyone does. It's funny how everyone is doing videos on the same shit on here yet change a few words and because people see invested in them both, will watch both videos. Like wtf.. Love ya,Lamont....but everyone is different. That's why there are lots of different variations of any genre of art. You do your thing,it works for you. There's no reason to call out another person in your genre because they are "distasteful". Just rise above,brother.
What upsets me about MANY true crime RU-vidrs is MANY ( not all ) do live streams ( and say NOTHING new basically repeating info ) and constantly ask for money. Then they get 'super chats' they say 'oh, thank you but I don't get this money til next month and youtube takes 40% so send it venmo / Paypal. I've seen live streams where they get a couple of hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars.
You do you. You can’t please everyone. Those that enjoy your videos will continue to watch you and those that don’t enjoy them can just move on. You are respectful and your research is great. Keep doing your vlogs as you have been doing as that’s obviously who you are. No BS!
You do you. The honest answer is that you will never be able to make everyone happy. It is possible that you could lose some viewers, but it is possible that you may gain more viewers. If you feel that there are other channels that need called out for being insensitive, crude, downright ignorant, etc. it is your channel to do with as you wish. I like your channels because you have a heart. You clean up graves when you can, you feed critters along the way, etc. You tell stories of some victims I would have never heard of in my life had you not told their story. You tell stories of some people (previous episode) that we may know the voice but never knew the name. As a survivor of attempted murder, I could have very easily been one that you told their story. I can say that I would have been happy to have you tell my story. There are many others that I would not be happy with in the slightest. And if there was a RU-vidr laughing and saying inappropriate things telling my story I would hope that you would call them out on it and set the record straight. I know my opinion/response is long, but it is honest. Keep up the great work that you do. Godspeed

Screams click bait to me, regardless of the subject matter. I like your style, your content (some are high profile/some are obscure), the comprehensive-ness of details and your unbiased approach (although on occasion I do enjoy your opinion on some of the worst scumbag murderers).
Scary Mysteries , Mysterious WV ,Missing Persons Mystery are some of my favorites because they have great voice , take it serious and are respectful. I CANT STAND THE MAKE UP crime shows. Why would anyone want to watch someone put on makeup? I just came across this channel. I'm watching all the videos. Subscribing for sure.
i’m a huge fan of true crime content, it’s very interesting to listen to. but so many creators tend to forget, or ignore, that the stories they’re telling are real. the victims and their families are real. it’s taken me a while to find people that tell stories respectfully, and i’ve stuck with them. kendall rae, eleanor neale, dreading: crime and psychology, and lazy masquerade have been my favorites for a while. kendall raises tons of money + features family members of victims on her channel, dreading goes all into detail in a very respectful way, usually without visuals, and lazy + eleanor are both very respectful. the morbid true crime podcast is also one of my favorites, because even though they can get a bit comedic, it is never at the expense of victims or their families, but at the perpetrators. they also feature family members from time to time. the voices for justice podcast is hosted by sarah turney, the sister of a missing girl named alissa. her podcast is so respectful and calming and it’s very nice to listen to. people need to remember that true crime is true. - an extra recommendation to anybody interested in cemetery type videos like this, i suggest hollywood graveyard! the host has a really calming voice, and he just kinda walks around and talks about the lives of all kinds of different celebrities and shows where they’re buried. it’s weirdly calming and kind of addictive
I’m with you, Lamont. I recently unsubscribed from a true crime RU-vidr. Among other issues, this person has a habit of inserting pouty glamour photos of herself into thumbnails for stories about unsolved murders. Yeah I know, it’s an attention grabber, but it’s also tone deaf. You make it about the victims, this person makes it about herself. (P.S. Another RU-vidr with a narration style I admire is the woman who does the Wonderland of the Weird channel. She covers a mixed bag of topics, not just true crime). Don’t ever change, Lamont!
I take what you say with a grain of salt because the last time you talked shit about a youtuber you lied about what you said she did. You said she (Christina Randall) was talking about the 3 girls murdered at the girl scout camp and in the same breathe she asked if her viewers if they knew any April fools jokes...She had not even started talking about what story she was going to tell ppl about yet. She was still doing the intro to her video!

I'm glad you exposed those disgusting youtubers who doubted the woman of having cancer. I watched that poor girl's video & you can clearly see her suffering. Some youtubers develop these huge egos & they need to be reminded what's what. Oher ideas for this channel is perhaps filming meeting your fans during your trips (if they wish to be on camera). The videos can be short
