They have another song like this but it's Kpop, animated as well. Both songs have live performances that you should check out too, they're super high budget spectacles.
you should check out their other music, like K/DA - Pop Stars, and if you want to venture into metal check out Pentakill - Mortal Reminder. The creative team at RIOT are amazing, you don't need to play the game to enjoy their stuff.
There's an hour long video of an animator going over this video, and they actually went just as hard in the animation as they did in the music. An example of this, which is mentioned early in the video: Most animations (anime, cartoons, what-have-you) have the characters animated every 6 frames (referred to as "Moving on 6's"), while the background moves every frame. Riot Games, in their FUCKING LACK OF CHILL, had this animated ON 2'S. Every other frame, the people move. That is 3 times more work that doesn't need to be put in, but makes everything look more smooth. No one has animated on 2's since DISNEY WITH THEIR OG CARTOONS. They even took the time to, in the scene with Ekko and Akali on the stairs, STUTTER THEIR MOVEMENTS so that they don't look blockish, and that it looks a lot more realistic. And that's only ONE of the multitude of things that they did in this goddamned AMAZING music video. Riot put fucking time and money into this shit, and as a consumer for almost a decade, I love them so much for it.
Thomas Lyon lol this was actually recommended to me from tbskyren’s video he’s fantastic and does analysis for every riot video and some others on the side for someone like me who hasn’t played league since like 2013 that’s something that I watch most of his stuff
@@pyrefly7575 not really, I've seen a lot of reactors react to that line. What got me most was "You got your back on recline, when I damage your delicate spine, don't go acting all shy and surprised" .Self esteem bar was amazing too
From what I know riot games let the singers write their own lyrics, they just sent to them the character's personalities and powers and they did the magic. I find that cool, giving freedom for the artists to do their thing
I wouldn't hate mumble rap that much if they had flow and mechanics. But they don't. The ONLY thing mumble rap has are SOME good beats. If they had a good beat and put in a good flow and actually put some real effort in the mechanics then I wouldnt be so turned off by the lack of substance in the lyrics but no it's all hot fucking trash in every way and that's why I hate it. There's some mechanically talented rappers out there with good production but lacking in lyrics that I listen too because even tho there's no substance I get that FEELING sfj is talking about. But most mumble is garbage for more than a lack of lyrics. But I understand his point.
I smoke weed so i get having flow and a groove, but if I wanted a hard ass beat with unintelligible lyrics I'd lean towards metal where pitch shifting and even autotune can be used as a tool. And the two mix together great, especially when you throw dubstep in. I get the FEELING but it's the FEELING that i don't get.
The company Riot does a lot of cool music for League of Legends, you should look more of it up. :) Also, real nice to see Scru checking this out! One of my fav reactors getting up on this song :D
@@ScruFaceJeanOfficial Well, you can look on their youtube page, they have a all of the songs listed there, but there are also a lot of videos to search through. The best songs that I can recommend are: K/DA - Pop/stars, Pheonix, RISE (ft The Glitch Mob), Legends Never Die, Ignite (Ft Zedd), Here Comes Vi, Pentakill - Mortal Reminder, Awaken (Ft Valerie Broussard), DJ Sona: Ultimate Concert and Warriors (Ft Imagine Dragons) That list has a variety of K-Pop, metal, rock, EDM, and other generes
Dude trust me, I watch so many reaction videos you could say I'm pro at it, you're gonna be big in League community, you're a great reactor and you're entertaining. There' so many great League content to check out, cinematics, songs etc. so enjoy the ride! Subscribed btw :D Pro tip: put reaction in your title somewhere cause many people actually type in the search bar "giants reaction", and yours doesn't show up, but when you type just giants it does!
@@ScruFaceJeanOfficial oh btw I forgot, next thing you should check out is actually the first project Riot made like this one, where they make a music band out of the in game characters, the last year's one is called KDA and their song was Popstars (also has an animated video like this one, even better imo)
You can tell how he's truly feeling it. The music, the lyrics, the animation, the everything really. You pay attention to all them details in there and I love it. Earned yourself a sub
Found ya as a recent hit on my recommendations. As a recent animator grad, I appreciate the acknowledgement on the animation side. for the giants vid, you're lookin at 3:18 timeframe so if they animate purely on 24 fps basis, thats 4752 drawings. Not to mention if they went further to do it in 32 fps, 48 fps or even 60 fps. so that 4700+ drawings is purely the minimum drawing since this is 2d animation. just wanted to throw out some knowledge on that side. enjoyin your vids man!
If you’re looking at the LoL music, there’s two I’d absolutely recommend. Get Jinxed- punk rock style that hits hard. One of the early great Riot songs. Also has an amazing MV for its time. RISE- the overall feel, hype, and beat is so good. And the animation is amazing even without knowing the League references.
Last years was in Korea, so it was only appropriate to have2 major kpop stars-soyeon and miyeon from (G)-Idle, this giants song still has soyeon in it, too bad she had such a short part
@༺J꙰O꙰K꙰E꙰R꙰༻ (G)I-dle wasn’t even debuted when they did KDA. Soyeon was kinda popular because of “Unpretty rapstar” and “Produce 101”, Miyeon wasn’t though. They definitely are now though, (G)I-dle are queens
I love when you talked about how it doesn’t matter what they’re saying but it’s a feeling I’m a dancer and I totally get that! My teacher always has me do choreography to songs in different languages and I’ve never really thought about what they’re saying I just know that I can feel the beat
If you like rock/Metal, League has another group called "Pentakill" they have an animated video as well. It's an older one, but it's still really good. Your reaction was one of the best I've seen so far.
Lmk when Any country decides to group internationally and create a single with English, Spanish, and Korean in the same song! The diversity is amazing!
I agree with you so much on the self-esteem part. My friends hated that part 'cause they thought it's shallow and cocky, but it gave me such a good feeling, such a boost, and motivation to one day be able to say it and mean it!
Bruh what really made me laugh was dis man saying "why y'all been hiding dis from me man" that right dare told me how much he liked this song, and as a league of legends player it's good to now how far out community has expanded since the creation of this awesome game drop a like y'all and subscribe to this one cause he real!
I just stumbled upon your KDA video and I love how awesome and supportive you are!!!! ESPECIALLY not only to musicians but the ARTISTS and animators! You are truly an inspiration and great human being 🙏
If there’s one person who I wish was still alive today that could appreciate True Damage and K/DA’s new stuff, it’s Etika. He reacted to POP/STARS back when the MV came out in 2018 and was impressed with what Riot was able to accomplish with these girls. RIP…
I love how much enjoyment you've gotten out of all these League of Legends music videos so far! All of the ones you have looked at have been the one-ofs, though. League of Legends actually has another one of these groups that has multiple albums of content, a group called Pentakill, with a notable video of theirs being "Mortal Reminder". Quite a different experience from the rest of these so far, but I figured you might get a kick out of it. Just a heads up: League of Legends has two videos up for the same song, Official Audio and the Official Music Video.
Congrats on 720K scru! I actually found your channel through this video back in 2019. Its crazy to see how much the channel has grown since then! congrats my guy, you deserve it!
To be honest I don't really care about reaction channels, but this man is so positive From appreciating the song, to the animators, to the little talk about self esteem Subbed. Thank you for all of that.
its awesome that league creates all this awesome music and amazing videos, but its also great because i get to see new channels of people interacting with this popular media, and scru is one of them. im really enjoying what ive seen so far, and i look forward to any future vids while i go through the current ones!
MY G EKKO GOT SCRU LIKE :o LETS REWIND TIME (ps, ekko is a champion in league and his abulity is to turn back time so thats why in his second rap part the sound is rewind type beat if you get me)
Man i just subscribed to your channel first because im an old player in league of legends and i love this community so much i just love it and secondly you're the best guy on youtube who made a reactions on league music videos absolutely you are the best.. much love man
Love that fire you have. you did the right thing when you decided to explore and expand your youtube channel. Would of never found someone amazing as you if it wasn’t for League of legends creating this. Respect to you Scru Face Jean
I actually enjoy watching you ridin' on the beat and crazily hyped up with the song! Proud League player here. so love your reactions about K/DA and other League MVs!!!
This is made to appeal to as much people as it can , and the great thing is that the song is about things from the game ( abilities , situations , play-style, even inside jokes ) but still the non players can interpret the lyrics in non gamer way , and still feel right .
I love the way he really interacts with the video and the viewers! He's not just sitting there watching. One of the best reactors I've seen on RU-vid! #Nuclear 🔥
You actually offered some dope commentary and opinions, really appreciate a reaction channel out there willing to roll the tape back, and give some extra insights about their feelings, you’ve earned your success man, keep it up.
