True Detective Night Country: CRAZIEST EASTER EGGS & REFERENCES! 

In the finale, a little over 36 minutes in, Navarro in the blizzard with her flashlight shining bright obscuring her face, that has to be a reference to the The Thing poster.

What a spectacular show! Loved all the lore and Easter Eggs, fantastic rabbit holes were explored in the fun as well!

Very good observations. Other potential Easter eggs: Navarro’s native name ( the sun returns after the long night) is rendolent of the Final line by Rust “the light is winning”. In both seasons one of the cops had issues with a sexually precocious child. Both main protagonists went from unbelief in the afterlife to belief. I’m sure there are more. I enjoyed the season but I know others will disagree. Fair enough.

I respect your efforts in observing the seasons and ultimately putting this video together. However, I do feel you're stretching with these 'easter eggs' and links to other seasons. These 'easter eggs' maybe fun to certain viewers but they do not add any substance to the key storylines.

Unfortunately none of these Easter eggs meant anything, they were intentionally used by season 4 creators, writers and show runners for deception,...a giant red herring. Using season one folklore as a ruse was an incredibly bad idea...you see the legions of season one fans rejecting this because the writers and show runners effectively made it a all a joke in very poor taste. They shouldn't have crapped on season one in this way they had a great location, excellent cinematography and a story that had potential, some good acting here and there and Jodi F Foster...there was no.need to make this season about red herrings and unrealized potential but thats what they accomplished.
