Great video. The manual pumping was a good show. I timed each part, for a total of 7 minutes. I too, don't care about going fast in a dinghy, so wouldn't care if it didn't plane. I'm actually in the market for a similar set up, and have been shopping around. I'm aware of the electric motors range limitations, but I can live with it. Electric motors do have a higher acquisition cost, but factoring in two or three years of a gas engine, and all its maintenance costs, time, the electric motor does make a better point. Good show.
Saturn boats have rope all-round on top of boat which is better for holding on to the boat especially in rough seas, ure not fixed to one location like on this boat
Hi sorry for the slow response. I was up to 4 or 5 mph. Not for speed but I bought to try as a tender when on anchor etc. So our usage will be more tame.
I didn't track it, but measuring it now. It's about 8 to 9 miles. Sorry for my slow response. I have been off the water for a while. (Day job), but I have ordered a couple of Axopar boats for delivery soon, I hope, and I will get on with some more videos and use the tender setup in some more real-world situations. Where I will take the tender on board and off to beach etc and go dolphin spotting.
