Pujya Swamiji shares, "Liberation does not come in another life but can happen now. What are we truly seeking to be free from? It cannot be that somehow we are stuck here in this physical birth and now have to be free from it. These artificial borders and boundaries amongst us and God that we have created are made by us, not by God. God has given the veto power to all of us. So what gets stuck? The senses get stuck because of mind. The mind also gets stuck because clouded intellect is not able to discriminate. But what gives us the light to see with clarity? The light and life is there but there are obstacles of our ego, desires, etc that block us from seeing the light. It is equivalent of the sun shining outside and we have our curtains drawn. We just need to pull away the curtain not actually manifest the light. We spend so much time planning the future or the past but not living in the present, in the now. This is why sages and seers gave us the Ganga Aarti and Havan ceremonies to break the bondage everyday and draw the curtains so that the light can shine."
