Well your concern here is very right bro.. Sir here made a mistake.. Abbas Ibn Abdal Mutallib was the uncle of Prophet Muhammad and Abbas died in 653 AD. And the person who replaced the Ummayyid Caliphate and established Abbasid Caliphate was Abu Al Abbas Abdallah also known as As Saffah in 750 AD. And he was the grandson of Abbas. So he was a distant Nephew of Prophet Muhammad and that's why Shias and Sunnis both supported his claim.
