Ever since AirPods came out, there's been a ton of these true wireless Bluetooth earbuds on the market, but are any of them any good? Let's take a look at two different pairs from Dudios, makers of my favorite wired Bluetooth earbuds in 2018. The Dudios Zeus Air and the Dudios Zeus TWS are similar in functionality, but different in important ways.

ADDENDUM: Something I thought of after uploading the video that's worth pointing out is that neither of these buds support Aptx. The effect of that is that there is a bit of latency with these that you don't get with the Dudios Zeus wired earbuds. It's not a ton of latency, watching RU-vid is fine, but might be annoying for movies or games.

I read some of your comments and some may sting but they do have some points. I think you are doing a good job and it takes a while to hit your stride in terms of style. Keep it up man. Also, I noticed a lot of folks doing evals on one product and putting that video out and then putting another video out on a second product. then they will do a third video that will be a comparison. Just a thought but that might be a great format for your channel. I was just reflecting on the comments some people put in for this video. Good luck and I will be subscribing.

I love my zeus air! It was quite cheap, I can’t tell any downside in the audio quality, the auto powering on off and connection is soo fast and eeasy. It’s amazing. Press and hold on Air also activates SIRI. I use the pause, next song a lot. Case collects hardly any dust, and no lid makes it a lot easier to take out. Battery life is pretty good. I keep my phone in my pocket so volume adjusting is no problem. Also I can use either one separately! Never needed more volume than it has.

Call and music are DUAL... trust me is very good! GREAT PRODUCT! RECOMMENDED! Looks like very expensive, well finished, good quality! worth it!!!! So I was so skeptical when I first saw the air I was a little skeptical. Let me tell you HOW COOL THESE ARE! These are amazing earbuds, especially for the price. No bugs or anything for me and they are pretty sleek as well. Even charging them looks cool. Great quality, mono mode, stereo mode, great battery life, everything I could ask for.

@@SuperReview think you'll find for alot of people their main deal breaker for true wireless is how ridiculous they look and how far they protrude out the ear. (Ie will they fit under a helmet??) Try learning to take constructive criticism with some grace.

I hate when people tell me what's wrong as if their perspective represents everyone else. You'll probably find the same aversion in others, not sure how often you're in a position to offer feedback to others in person. e.g. "way too long a video this and didnt even show what they look like wearing them -_-" vs. "I wish the video was shorter and you showed what they look like wearing them."

I like your chill vibe. Much more relaxing then listening to some of the more salesmenny type video makers. I always come to RU-vid to back up or squash reviews that I read elsewhere. Which could and are often paid reviews that are biased. When I need electtonics while trying to get assistance to help me shop for my electronics Y.T. is my go to.. So truely, I thank you.

You could skip the rebranded versions and go for the original QCY T1C (or sometimes just T1, NOT the T1 Pro) from sites like Gearbest, Zapals etc. They have promo prices for them every other week and go for only around 18$, usually with free worldwide shipping, but gotta have patience lol.

Thanks for making these TWS videos. I've been trying to get as much info on TWS style earbuds cuz I'm trying to save up for a pair. With your vids it's nice to be able to compare features vs prices, pros & cons, and have an unbiased opinion to be able to make an informed decision. True wireless headphones + Pebble smartwatch: perfect combination for not getting your phone out of your pocket 1000 times a day. The Zeus Air looks pretty cool, added to my true wireless headphones comparison. Maybe you can check out the Pamu Scroll on Indiegogo, $49 now for backers and it would be a good comparison with these ones.

Thanks for the review man! Question, can you use these one at a time? I’ve read some of these earbuds must be used at the same time. I use my headphones at the office so I’ll usually use one until battery runs out the swap. Can I do that with these?

Yes, both of these will work one at a time. Oddly, the Airs use the Right bud, the TWS uses the Left bud.

Nice review. I only have 2 questions. How do the tws compare with the other dudios you reviewed a while back soundwise ( I like v shaped headphones)? And how are these comfortwise? do they clamp good and not fall out?

I would have to do a head-to-head comparison to say for sure (which I might do later if you remind me). Without direct comparison, they seem pretty similar in sound quality -- I'd guess than the Zeus TWS sounds as good as the wired ones. I had no issues with fit using either of the true wireless buds. A trick I use for my wired IEMs works here -- pull up on the ear when inserting them and when you release your ear, it closes up the ear canal and hangs onto the earbud stems really well.

You said that you don't use them with a phone. Do they have a microphone for phone calls? Can you put one of them in one ear for phone calls? That might be a really good feature for a car.

Hello, Yes it has Mono mode and stereo mode. They have mic for phone call. And I think it has noise cancellation feature that omits the external noises during phoneccalls and music listening.

I have the air. Bought them around Christmas time for 28$ on amazon. I love them i use one at time so that i can get the most play time out of them. Ill use one let the battery drain throw it on the charger an use the other. Volume is decent not much bass but gets the job done i work in a assembly plant so the fact that i use one at a time an sti can hear my music with no problem is great.

They should stay in pretty well 👍 Usually when I fit them, I lift my earlobe to open up my ear canal, insert the earbud, and then drop my earlobe to close around it. Good security and relieves air pressure, too.

I just got a similar product the SoundPEATS truefree, they work well, but I've installed on my Xperia XZ1 compact the app "headphones equalizer" and you are able to increase the bass but to have the best sound quality you must enable on Xperia devices the DSEE HX option it works really good, I also have a marshall wired headphones and believe me the sound quality is awesome on this Bluetooth devices

Can you explain what aptx is, I’m not tech savvy sorry. I saw mixed answers on whether or not these had audio delay issues and I’m mainly going to be using these for music but I will still use it for Netflix and stuff. Apart from the audio, I think i want to buy these though.

Aptx is a Bluetooth codec. A codec is a specific algorithm for audio compression. There are multiple different kinds of Bluetooth codecs, and Aptx is one of the best. Both of these have a moderate amount of latency with video, but not bad IMO.

sajidhasan34 In case you didn't try this, sorry if you did - The instructions say to power the right one first (so remove it from the case first), pair it to your device, then remove the left from the case. This is how you get stereo sound. If you remove the left first, it's just mono sound and it'll be the only side to work. I made the same mistake :-)

PaMu Scroll has better sound than the Dudios. Personally I still like the Dudios Zeus Air best, but when I'm using Bluetooth I'm usually just listening to podcasts, so audio quality isn't the most important thing for me.

Reset them -- press and hold the buttons on the outside until they go back into pairing mode, forget them on your phone -- then put them back into the case, and then pull them out to re-pair.

You should check out Zolo Liberty+ earbuds. I've been using them for a while and prefer them over a lot of other wireless earbuds I've tried.

Would be great if they both worked. Got my soundpeats the other day. From the start had issues with the left ear bud cutting in and out which was annoying. The next day the left one stopped charging so now it doesnt work at all. Spend $30 more and get a set that actually lasts .. save yourself the hassle

It seems like most cheap earbuds are having this problems... I got Pamu 2 from indiegogo... same issues... the left earbuds is having connectivity issues... it seems like its having problem connecting to the right one... I have to adjust the right earbuds to make it work sometimes... and it gets worse and worse... I hope it wont die on me so fast in just merely months....

steve hoffman I don’t think they do, but I’m away from home and can’t check for a couple days. I have the Airs with me right now and can confirm they do not blink when in use.

Yes, but probably not what you want -- the phone will pair to one of the earbuds, and you can use that earbud by itself. But I don't believe it will pair to the second earbud by itself -- the phone needs the first earbud to be connected for sound to come out of the second.

They don't get that loud, but they do isolate from outside noise. For me, they get loud enough in all conditions, but my hearing is pretty good.

The JLabs are a Walmart exclusive. After Walmart canceled my order twice for them (2 different Walmarts) I got the Dudios Zeus Air. Pretty happy with them so far. They could be louder. The connection and pairing is excellent. I do wish there was a way to tell the battery life left on the case.

I haven't heard KZs, so I'll compare these to other KZs I've heard in the ~same price range. I think these has a more universal sound -- less strident in the highs, mids are less recessed -- but you'll generally still get more resolution and detail out of a wired headphone.

I dunno if I've tried any with AptX that I love, to be honest. I wonder if AptX is harder on batteries or something, it's rare in the budget space, even though budget WIRED Bluetooth has AptX everywhere.

I had two pairs. One just fell out of my ear unknowingly and the second pair would never work in stereo. After contacting support and following all of their testing methods, same result. They would not work in stereo; only one at a time. So, they were returned.
