@@felixjiu638 not exactly. Wang Chu Qin was banned for 3 months by the Chinese Table Tennis Association due to racket throwing, not by the ITTF nor the WTT. Similarly, Liang Jing Kun was banned by the CTTA simply due to him mocking Lin Gao Yuan. The Chinese, as the world leader in table tennis, are more strict toward their players, but internationally these behavior were simply not punished enough.
So it is not okay to show emotions after that match? He just lost the game for his team after being 2-0 up nd having three match balls. Give him a break!
@@robertalexanderson829 it's okay to be emotional, but not in this way. he needs to learn to control his emotions as slamming your racket isn't very professional
@@Junewc1 It is okay to throw the racket in this case. He does not hurt anyone. Sports is emotions. There are much much worse behaviors in this world you can focus on. Focus on your own problems instead.
It's almost sad that it is possible to lose a game despite being that good as Alexis Lebrun, his techinique is amazing Lebrun brothers are the future of table tennis
Incredible comeback, Alexis was on top, very powerful. Truls was KO ... to come back after 2-0 , after such disaster, you need a champion mentality ... And Truls have this mentality. That's why he is one of the best in the world. Very inspiring! Sweden deserves to finally win the championship. And now they have the chance, because Dang Qiu, Dima and Franziska are missing. Well done Truls! Congrats!
Yes actually He is maybe but the best of all european but alexis still fantastisch player who can beat everyone and who also could win this match 3:0 so dont compare them every time both fantastic world class players
I think Truls was not in the game the first two sets, making easy mistakes and missing shots he would not normally miss. But in the 3rd set he came back and played as if he had nothing to lose. Alexis had a very powerful game but emotions started creeping in, causing him to miss serves and some easy blocks. This could have easily been anyone's game, congrats to both and looking forward to see Alexis getting back at him
Haven't watched that many tourneys, is it common, at least in Europe for the crowd to be this loud? I'm a bit impressed to be honest. I was there Friday evening but it wasn't sold out like this.
I (from sweden) was there for both the semi finals and finals. Matches took place in Sweden. After a week of it on Swedish national television I guess it gathered enough interest. We bought tickets almost a year in advance but many were left the last few days but sold out quickly the last 2 days. Full crowd on final day and incredible cheering. The Swedish players mentioned that they never had had a crowd and crowd support like this before and probably never will. The intensity of the matches, the close calls...it was amazing.
Serving and playing short on Truls FH or in the middle wasn't the solution . Playing long to Truls BH was .. Obvious and terrible choke by both Alexis and his coach
why do these people smash their rackets so often? 😅When you win it's your best buddy. When you lose it's still your best buddy. Come on man. Have a heart.
Change of tactic. Throughout the 3rd-5th set Alexis was playing long to the bh, which Truls adjusted to by initiating more with the bh or finishing with fh pivot. Also, Truls' short game improved. It didn't allow Alexis, who honestly has a better opening attack on both wings than Truls, to initiate and dictate the rally.
