The content gave justice to the satiric version of the title “Truly Malayali”. I still remember the day when I coordinated for a stand up comedy show and competition in my college and Sabareesh and Vinay Menon were invited as guests there. His efforts shows off in this show as he is truly transforming into a better version of himself and has a unique style and sublety which is evident in the performance. Like you cannot actually guess what the next connecting joke would be. There were a few downsides and cringe comedies (considering my personal interests). But other than that, it was an entertaining event. Way to go Sabari! 👏🏼

Awesome bro! I always thought why this trend haven't caught up well enough in Kerala. I think it's like you said, most people are not familiar with standup, they have grown watching Skits and Mimicry. I believe this will be a huge turning point in malayalam comedy. I had a good laugh. I’ve been watching stand up comedy in Hindi and English for the past one year, I’m seeing a Mallu performing a standup in Malayalam for the first time, it was absolutely hilarious and entertaining ❤💯, never mind the negative comments, keep going dude, if you perform live at Kozhikode, supporter here!😊 Also as a Mallu ticket rates kathi aakaruthe😂, my free mindset as you rightly pointed out in the video, said in the show overpowers my will😂😂

eh.. about standup comedy being new in kerala... Kunjan Nambiar is the first ever stand up comedian who used to entertain using sattires. Every art form evolves over many years. Standup is not new for malayalis. Jayaraj warrier is also a good artist but in caricature style.

Hey man, we all know standup is not new in India or Kerala. It's been around decades. This is the first StandUp Comedy 'special' in Malayalam. It's a 1 hour solo standup show that comes from the conventional standup scene followed in the British and the US, which we're trying to popularise in Kerala with open mics and shows. Building a scene like in Mumbai and Bangalore. Lend support.

Sounds like listening to a stand-up comedy dubbed into Malayalam.. He's just imitating some renowned stand-up artists and translating into Malayalam.. Well, it's not that simple by the way... I am writing this comment just after seconds seeing it, I might have been influenced by all comics I had watched. Ramesh Pisharadi kind of standups are more relatable to mallus i think.. i mean the way of his narration... Actor Mukesh, Jayaram are also good... I know they're not authentic standup artists, but there are no rules right?? 😉 Just see how Malayalam movies are different from other language movies... That difference is there in the audience's minds too..
