Just paid $15 to try one coconut cream this weekend... probably way overpaid but only way I had a chance to taste it and it was gooodd😭😭

Was the CC not as ripe as the others perhaps?

Can you advise me on what variety of mango is cold hardy and where to buy them? I believe I live in zone 9b.

Hi, I am new to all these varieties having lived in Hawaii and only tried Hayden, "common" and now from a store in Cali, Keitt (so good). I do know that mangoes vary in taste on different sides of the fruit and I happen to love the greener flavor (no one eats really ripe in Hawaii). I'm interested in the "wide variation" found in tastes. I.e., what's the "turpentine" flavor mean? This was really interesting and I was surprised that coconut flavor didn't stand out in the Coconut Cream mango. Moving to Florida soon and really ready to enjoy mango season!

When is the best time to come for the most variety of mango? I know seasons differ but if I wanted a larger selection would mid June or July be best? I'd also love to buy cherimoyas and atemoyas but have no clue when they are in season.

So what’s up with the coconut cream? This is the second year my tree is producing and To say I’m unimpressed is an understatement. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I was sold a weed? I definitely taste the coconut in it but that’s about it. Very meah fruit... plus the tree is ugly and droopy, I can barely keep up with its growing habits. I’ll give it one more year, I have a small yard and mediocre mango is not something I can afford.

What’s the sweetest variety mango when still crunchy?

tbh, mangoes taste pretty much the same when they are ripe. some tastes better when they're still crunchy and semi ripe.
