Another great video. Very informative and comprehensive I feel like I know more that the manufacturer does themselves about their own product after watching that. Great format and easy to watch end to end. Keep them coming.
This is your build and therefore everyone should respect whatever you decide to fit is whats going to be right for you. If your going to live full time, why not have comforts that’ll make life easier. I like the idea of the heat exchanger feature too, especially given during the winter months a diesel heater would be on quite a lot.. Interesting to see some thoughts and ideas rather than just “watch me fit this”. Looking forward to the next instalment 👍🏼
I am very greatful for that comment. I am going to alienate more people than I get onboard so I really appreciate this boost. Glad I can count on you to be in my corner :)
FOSSIL METALS absolutely the keyboard warriors who write stuff like that will be tucked up in bed with their central heating on whilst complaining 🤦🏼♂️ Jeepers this is going to be an all year round van so why not have hot water and heating in the flipping winter 🥶 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for this, I bought one cheap on Ebay a couple of years ago and just couldn't work out what to do with the thing , now I know and it will be going in my new build !
Another great informative video guys, and nice little commercial too for Mr Terribles coffee, other brands are not available lol. Feel for yous having to wait on products being delivered, when you just want to crack on with it. Best wishes and Stay safe and well
Mr w as always I am very greatful for your support. Really appreciate your positivity. Yeah waiting on parts sucks but ultimately am very lucky so can't grumble. Catch up soon and stay safe
Awesome video and description/explanation of the truma. Truma quality 😂😂 love that. What can I say about that sponsorship 🤔🤔😜 gonna need to get that stocked up well done pixie 👌👍 love the idea of using vent as an extra output thats just genius 👍 and finally thanks for putting the pressure on 😂😂 i just hope it works as expected with my MBC 🤔🤔 only joking mate it'll do it 👍 thank you for plugs 😁😎👍👍
Hoping you can help me. Brilliant video, only informative video on this product out there at the moment in English. I was wondering if you can actually use this with a standard shurflo pump. If I were to put a pressure regulator set at let’s say 1 bar to be safe. Would that work and what did you use? Thanks so much!
Not exciting? It's the one that introduced your series to me! You're right: there's very little info about these little heaters out there. Thanks! I think I'll be buying one.
Good review Jeff, Scratched my head many of times on the water system. I was originally going to buy a Truma combi but still not decided as I'd rather run it on diesel. The Webasto thermo top C looks interesting but I'm still playing around with ideas🤔
Hi. That pressure release valve is designed to 3.5 bar pressure and used for different product, truma tt2 max 1.3 bars. It has it's own release pressure feature and it says you should never put any no return valve between truma and cold water tank. It also designed for submersive type water pumps those that have No no return valve build in. Thanks
Oh I totally agree other than to say that the valve is recommended in the manual when using direct city water hookup prior to a pressure reducer and I will have this facility as well as tank water. I couldn't find a pressure switch pump which didn't have a non return valve. So have a pump with adjustable pressure switch so I can keep the pressure to about 1 bar and an accumulator. I am going to run the system here in the house under pressure and take some measurements. Many thanks for your input. You obviously know your stuff. Really struggled prior to purchasing for people to speak to so if you have any tips I am all ears. 😀
@@AlwaysVanAdventure my self I use pump with no return valve but keep my sink cold tap always open so small water fraction from truma can be release down to the pipe if you know what I mean. Like you videos. Cheers. www.truma.com/web/downloadcenter/files/truma-watersystems-therme-operating-en.pdf
@@897aa33 I do indeed. I couldn't use a submersible pump because I will be using conventional tap and didn't want one with a micro switch so activating the pump would be on a manual button and I didn't want that. So will keep experimenting until I have it sorted. Many thanks.
@@AlwaysVanAdventure did you consider a whale pressure switch, this is the set up i have with the TT2 and doemstic taps but i am concerned that the whale pressure switch has a non return valve built in. Unsure now what to do tbh
I use the redring 1.5kw 6L water heater from screwfix. To get enough water for washing up it only needs to go on for 5 mins and uses 10ah of power. Less than half the price too. Like you say in another video, spend the money on the electric system and use mass produced household stuff for a fraction of the cost.
@@jondavey007 It obviously depends on the starting temperature but in summer 10 mins will get a you 35 degree shower easily, but only the 6L capacity. Better to run it for 15m and you can mix it for 10L or so. In winter I've had to run it for 25 mins to get the same level of heat. I installed an instant gas heater last year:- cointra cpa6 because there just isn't enough power in winter to run an electric water heater, and that's in Portugal with 1000w. UK no chance. Retaining heat, very good, still warmth the next day. I still have it but just use it on hookup now.
@@scottb5716 that’s great thanks! I guess the 10 mins was without hot air blowing into it? As I have an mttp in winter I’ll heat it up when the engine runs to save battery. Much appreciated as very little info on RU-vid 😃
I have a question, Hope you Will answer me. I Need to know , if i use a normal pump with 1.5 bar pressure, there Is any way to fit It ?? Like maybe a pressure reductor that goes from 1.5 to 1 bar? Do you think Is It going to work?? Hope you understood my question
My seaflo pumps have an adjustable pressure switch. So I can back them off however they still act as a non return valve which Truma doesn't like. They prefer you to use a submersible pump.
A good alternative to this would be Elgena Compact, not so plastic but similar in other ways. I'm trying to make my mind with these... www.reimo.com/en/camping-shop/camping-heater-camping-fridge-camping-air-conditioner/elgena-boiler-elgena-hot-water/14739/elgena-boiler-nautic-compact-air-6l-230v
AlwaysVanAdventure people may still want to use it though and people like me who are struggling lf to find the damn pipe fittings! This is the only half useful video on this product in English 🙄
