Welcome to Truman Lake guys, this is my home lake. You're on the Grand arm of the lake and I'm on the other end on the Pomme arm. Good luck, I've caught several over 3 pounds upstream from Bucksaw over the years.
When Truman was made it flooded a forest and they just let it do it and left all the timber so that makes Truman a very dangerous lake if you don't know it. I totaled my boat there 2 years ago in 38 feet of water. Took off and when coming up on plane my boat hit a tree and ripped a big hole in the bottom of it. It is common there to be in 30 plus foot of water and still have timber sticking out of the water.
I love lakes like that when they flooded neely henry on coosa river use to have a ton of standing timer in it in the early 90s they cut it below the low water line it still has a lot of timber in it but not like it once was they cut it of course for pleasure boaters 🙄...id love ti fush truman. 👍

I fished most of these coves and I for sure recognize one of them and I didn’t see you fish the huge tree half way down the cove I flipped my kayak throwing for shad about where your sitting
