@@Metaljacket420 Yes it is. It is a type of election interference. Our laws say that the voters are entitled to know about such things before they cast their ballots. Some voters take character issues very much into account when deciding whom to vote for. Some people consider infidelity to marriage vows a character issue. Thirty years ago, the Republican party was chock full of people who did; or said they did. I guess they have evolved on that issue. Trump and his enablers knew that the information could influence votes. It would have been a CRIME even if they had not filed false business records to cover it up (also a crime, but a relatively minor one without the motive of election interference).

Lying about your business records and trying to write off personal expenses as business expenses is a crime. I guess you don't know that part of the law. Leona Helmsley went to jail for doing just that. A rich woman who married into the hotel business and then wrote off personal expenses as business expenses. It's a crime. Like Trump, she also failed to pay contractors. And she was convicted of federal income tax evasion, also like Trump. She got jail time - so should he.
