It's their duty not to beat peaceful protesters. A navy vet was beaten with batons, pepper sprayed and had to have surgery on his hand when he asked federal agents if they served and how they felt violating their service oath

I was just talking about this recently. How I wished that the moment he starts making ridiculous false statements and/or turning the briefing into a campaign event, all the reporters would just get up and leave. Live feeds would just shut off. The test he took is actually the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test, a cognitive screening test for memory loss or early dementia. The guy is 74, after all. And with his comments about magical disappearance of coronavirus, and injecting people with disinfectant, it's reasonable for doctors to give him a test for Alzheimers.

I have had multiple ABIs I have to take that test every time I see a neurologist like twice a year. It’s not a pass fail test. It’s used to gauge your cognitive function. Can you do what it says and how long it takes you. I “pass” the test every time. I have cognitive difficulties and I still “pass” it. My grandma with dementia passed it. Just because he “passed” means absolutely nothing.

He is planning to delegitimize mail in ballots, so that people who are aware and cautios of the pandemic will have no way of voting, if they don't want to risk their health and life by going to a polling place. On the other hand, people who couldn't care less about it, like his supporters, will vote despite the risk. Dragging out this pandemic and doubting the legitimacy of mail in ballots are two major points in his reelection plan.

Trump very seldom agrees to an interview with another chanel than FOX. Stephanopolis had one one time. He had a some what different approach. The president came out silly without really noticing it. Reporters have tried to be tough on him in pressconferences, but he doesn't answer, refuses to give the opportunity for a followup question. If the next person does follow-up, he again refuses, says thank you and leaves or gives the mic to an OAN reporter.

@zhuull1 of course it is. early americans were super paranoid about the government trying to control them due to the whole mess they had just gotten out of with the british, so the founders had to come up with a way to ensure people that they weren't going to be the same. the second amendment was literally written in as a way for them to say "ok, we are going to need you to listen to what we say. but we know what you are like, so we promise we won't touch your weapons so you can always start a local militia if you feel you really need to." the early federal government system had tons of concessions like this written in to get people to listen to what they say without making them feel like they are being restricted. people forget but the national government wasn't built with the intention of it getting as big as it is today.

Hitler was hyper intelligent to the point of genius (as so many high functioning sociopaths / psychopaths are) whereas Trump is, well, Trump. (Speaking purely in terms of basic intelligence, not what Hitler did with it). I hate to say it, but the comparisons between their actual politics are actually overwhelming. The only difference, really, is that Hitler inherited the Treaty of Versailles, and Trump inherited one of the strongest economies in history. Also Hitler was impossible to manipulate (he was simply too good a manipulator himself). Trump has been manipulated by every dictator out there. I'd suspect he could be using the Nuremberg Diaries as his political roadmap, if I could believe he'd ever read it. While their actions have differed as greatly as their circumstances, the two men's political and moral compasses are actually astonishingly easily compared. There will never be "another Hitler" any more than there will be "another Gandhi", but I think Trump is closer than we ever wanted, or even thought possible, to see.

When applying for my job, I had to take a 2 hour test including an attention test, which ran as followed: Staring 20 minutes at a computer screen, where a set of 7 triangles randomly pointing up or down, changing their position (again randomly) twice per second (2.400 times total) and I had to push a button whenever 3 of those triangles pointed upwards before the next set appeared. I missed not one (but started to get a severe headache after 15 minutes) and was at least in my group the only one. That is something you may brag about. But hearing a set of 30 letters and tap your hand, when you hear an A is something my 4 year old would ace. Another part of it was looking at a geometric figure on one side and three sets of 8 broken pieces on the other side and figure out in 15 seconds which of those 3 sets could be put together to form the figure (20 times). Naming 3 animals you most likely see on your first visit to a zoo is also something a kindergarden child would ace. And my job has a MUCH smaller salary than the job of the POTUS and far less time for golfing. P.S. The last question of those hard five questions at the end was saying the date, month, year and day of today as well as the place and city where you are at the moment.

I just want to point something out here that was explained to me by a psychology professor. I don't claim any expertise, though (I'm not even a student, I know the professor socially). These tests are designed to be easy, because they're not testing for intelligence. They're testing for dementia, Alzheimer's, memory loss things like that. The thing that was explained to me, though...bragging about how smart the test said that you were, or about how well you did, shows that you didn't understand the point of the test, even though it was explained to you.The bragging shows a lack of logical reasoning skills and the inability to understand and/or retain information you are given. Ergo...bragging about how well he did is basically failing the test, because it's proving mental decline. I'm not sayin'...I'm just sayin'.

Did he believe / was he told it was an IQ test? What was he told about the test? The test, named the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, or MoCA, is designed to measure cognitive decline, through a baseline for recognition of surroundings. The biggest question of all is not why Trump consented to the test, but WHO thought it would be appropriate to test Trump for dementia. This is not exactly a campaign bonus, since Trump cannot parade on camera, claiming "This test proves I am not demented!" The test, itself, is an assessment, not a scoring competition, and requires expert interpretation. For example, one demented patient scored more than 26 out of 30, with 26 considered a normal score. And some un-demented people have failed to get even 26 of 30.

Take his "ideology" about COVID-19-- Trump was all over the map on that one, speaking of "which way the wind blows". Look up "The Lincoln Project" for a stunning series of Trump mis-statements about the pandemic. And you would claim Trump is more American? By what standard? Even George Lincoln Rockwell, the American Nazi, was an American, which hardly qualifies either Rockwell or Trump for high office. As countless others have commented, Trump honors American traditions more in the breach, than the observance.
