Trump pays for some of them. How much do you want to bet the right wing is funding a lot of the polls or the way the questions are asked. All that makes a difference. They can do with polls what they do with statistics: make it show what they want.

@@123456789987o As far as an actual pardon, it wouldn't matter what he 'does anyway', the state legal system simply will not recognize it. On the other hand, state to state extradition is sticky enough for regular offenders, if he just never went to Georgia it might be complicated to get him back there. But he would remain a convicted felon in the state of Georgia.

@@mayasej The socialist candidate ran from prison in 1920. He got about 3% of the vote. Felons vote in some States but that is not relevant to a Federal election, which is regulated by federal law.

Actually, my second sentence is wrong because the constitution gives wide latitude to the States in running the a presidential election, so what happens exactly to convicted felons may change from state to state.

The video said he’ll attempt. There is nothing stopping Trump from successfully pardoning himself. If he gets as far as the presidency, the lack of accountability for his crimes will only make him commit more.

Actually, Georgia law requires you to complete the full sentence, keep your nose clean for five years, and then you can ask for a pardon.

If Trump wins in 2024. No way a president will go to jail for state crimes. Just won’t happen. Those laws will not be enforced when it comes to a president.

I am ashamed that I don’t care about people as much as I should. I think I would be even worse if I wasn’t a Christian, but it’s hard to know that for sure. We know about 1 in 5 GOP voters won't vote for Trump anyway. See the Georgia senate and run-off election last year. Same voters same day. 2.1m GOP voters voted for anti-Trump governor Kemp but only 1.7m for Trump-backed senate-wannabe Walker. 400,000 GOP voters turned up to a polling station and voted for Kemp but refused to vote for Walker.

Clearly the constitution is weak if there's loopholes that allow someone to be president FROM PRISON and to be able to pardon himself for crimes. No developed nation has that issue except USA. Here in the UK even the smell of criminality from a PM is enough to have them removed with a vote of no confidence in a matter of days.
