I once saw a video of a small, female street cop trying to subdue a large strong man. She wrestled with him for some time. He went for her gun and as he did, a burly male citizen intervened and subdued the criminal in seconds. I know that this could also happen with a small male policeman but women are just built differently than men. It is dangerous, in these types of circumstances, to have a female cop. I am also not impressed with an overweight, out of shape male cop out on the streets. You can hire women but don't put them out, on the street, alone or have them do a different job with the department. Inclusivity should not mean that we throw physics and basic biological facts out the window! Yet, that is exactly what is happening!

Liking this from the title alone. As a woman who has been told on many occasions that I am strong as an ox/hit like a freight train, had sheriffs offer to pay for my training to become a deputy. I know my limits. Women shouldn't be in the THAT job for the secret service. I think a lot of the hesitation we see in police these days is due to the fear of lawsuits and riots everytime a police officer does his job. They have a genuine fear now of being questioned, fired, or jailed for making a split second decision that they are trained to make. They are persecuted when they make the decision to fire, and they are persecuted when they don't make that decision. Our society and lawsuit hunger in this country is destroying our safety. With that said... In this setting with a former president in the cross hairs. How DARE that police officer come back down the ladder. That was the ultimate in cowardness.

I don't see it as a failure of a gender. It's a failure of training and preparation. If they were practicing drills for this scenario, they should have been prepared. The failures of these particular women should not be applied to all women.
