I read the guy who he was, he was a guy that was drafted into the Nazi military he didn't join willingly. The whole thing was a political stunt, from what I understand he didn't really commit any actual war crimes, he was just a guard at a camp or something like that at the last days of the war where they throw him at.

He worked for 4 years from 1941 in the Trawniki Camp in Poland. He was born in Poland, meaning the Nazis didn't occupy until 1939. He used his role in the holocaust to gain the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the military (in order to increase his salary.) Therefore he only worked at the camp to have an increased salary, and he was an official; being an aide to the head of the camp. If someone was FORCED to commit the murder they wouldn't be prosecuted, but he committed these murders willingly.
