When a lawyer is on the stand and being questioned, it seems likely that they would be considering the questions and their answers because they want to understand what point they are trying to make. That doesn't make him 'shifty' - it makes him cautious. Cohen is fully aware of how lawyers use questions to attempt to paint pictures and distort truth. 🤔

If you’ve seen any of Cohen’s videos or listened to his podcast you know very well that his testimony today was borderline boring. When he gets wound up you know it. He was measured and calm today. He made Blanche look like a first year even without Justice Merchan having to tell Blanche that the witness is allowed to be biased against him.

He does have health issues that the details of aren't disclosed. Some medical issues can increase thirst, as can just talking a lot. I don't understand how drinking water would be shifty, especially while giving testimony as a witness at a trial where you know it will make you more of a target for more death threats.

Yeah, looks like they make something up just to fill the time. On RU-vid there’s many independent media commentators and lawyers that are way clearer and more to the point. Glenn Kirschner for instance, I think he is an MSNBC contributor but he also has his own RU-vid channel where he posts daily. Less fluff, more clarity.

what strikes me is that the defense instructed the jury in the beginning that they can not judge a person (their client) by how their feelings for that person are. On the other hand, their entire defense is based on trying to make the judges form a bad opinion of Cohen so they'd dismiss the evidence because he said it.

Here is the deal. Blanche is a former PROSECUTOR. Prosecutors are experienced in direct examination. Defense attorneys are experienced in cross examination. That is just the nature of criminal law. Blanche’s cross examination today was feeble at best. I doubt if it will improve much tomorrow. We will see.

The Trump Foundation, run by Don and the kids, was found guilty in court in 2019 of skimming off half of it's 5.6 million veterans charity donations of 2.8 million to spend it on the 2016 election and Trump enterprises. (Mar-a-lago bills) Trump admitted he used the charity funds for political causes. He also admitted to claiming credit for monies that actually came from non Trump charities. (Mar-a-lago bills) Trump admitted he used the charity funds for political causes. He also admitted to claiming credit for monies that actually came from non Trump charities. This panel is what passes as intellectualism in the US! Instead of questioning the validity of this trial, they engage in talking about Michael Cohen who is irrelevant because paying hush money isn't a crime, then entering it as "legal expenses" isn't a crime either!
