Media keeps calling that as an interview. It was a discussion of two men who see how the future they like to see. They just talked as they felt like, man to a man, that kind of opportunity rarely happens. Both were relaxed and no concerned about what they talked, two men are the champion of free speech.
And there was no harm done by their free speech as in yelling “fire” in a crowded theatre when there is no fire. These two talked, as you pointed out, man to man.
