Saddest thing I have ever seen. Being in the LEO community my entire adult life, this is embarrassing. This was either a deliberate situation, or the most incompetent bunch of so called professionals ever. That elevated rooftop could have easily been seen by the counter snipers. Why the hell didn’t they remove the President from the stage? They all had radio equipment. State and Locals have comms with the Feds. This should have never had to happen. BE YOUR OWN HERO FOLKS, BECAUSE THE ONLY PERSON TO SAVE YOU IS YOU. Take care Mike.

Mike, I'm a retired Arkansas State Trooper, and this is the best breakdown of this incident that I have seen. It was definitely an epic failure. I have been on 4 presidential security details and it's unbelievable that there was no security on that building. Thanks for your videos and God Bless the USA.

No security on top of the most dangerous roof at the rally. You would think that they would have several officers on that roof. You have to ask why?

Best explanation of the event that I have seen so far. Mike again thank you for being a patriot, true red blooded American who believes in what we stand for, our freedoms.

I hate to say this and a lot of people will be angy about this but, I saw an interview with the head of the Secret Service after the shooting and she appeared to more interested in DEI then what had happened. I have no faith that there will be any corrections made as long as she is in charge. She appears to be incapable of concentrating on the problems just the policy.

Ever hear of the phrase, "If everyone is watching...no one is watching."? I feel that was the mindset of a lot of the security at the site. Now I hate to sound like an armchair quarterback because it is sooo easy to second guess decisions after the fact...BUT how come the powers that be who were in charge of security for the event did not sit down with a simple google earth photo and starting with a perimeter of 100 yards, every 100 yards out to 1 mile, identify the most likely places for a sniper to be and say, "We have to double check these areas". I'm with you Mike great video thumbs up.

Thank you Mike for your excellent reporting on this terrible occurrence. Your narrative is by far more concise than any of the major news brands that I have observed reporting on this. I am a retired law enforcement officer of over 30 years experience and I am appalled at what I saw, the major lapse in securing President Trump and protecting the rally attendees. The fact that an officer actually confronted the suspect and retreated is unbelievable to me. I hate to say it but that officer needs to find a new line of work, police work is not for him. The director of the Secret Service also needs to step down. This is such a glaring mistake that was made a first year rookie officer would know better. God saved President Trump and I am very sorry for the people injured and killed. My sad condolences to the Chief, God bless your family.

Great coverage an a great explainination. I was at the rally with my wife. I was thinking the same thing about Trumps protection. I looked around and seen so many roofs that needed coverage. I was so dissapointed that this was cut short by the lack of professionalism by our local law enforcement by noy stepping up. I sure hope this was not government jurisdiction that refused to use our local sharp shooters to assist in this matter. Glad you are safe as is my wife and myself. God Bless America. Mike, I Totally agree with all of your assessments…it was a big failure! My father was a US Army Sergeant Stationed in Germany until ‘62. My uncle, A US Army Medic, taken hostage during D-Day at Normandy. He was A POW for a year. I worked on many government Military Aerospace R&D contracts. I agree with a lot of the commenters. Excellent video. Congress should view this video. I'm a retired police chief that was involved with a few dignitary visits. The SS was extremely thorough in their planning, logistics and assignments. We met multiple times before VIP arrivals and every advantage point had someone assigned. How that roof top and water tower were not covered is the epitome of incompetence. And, an officer climbing a ladder to look for a man with a gun without having his sidearm at the ready to engage is inexcusable.

A 2nd grader could have figured out that building needed manpower coverage ... I think you said this, but at the end of your video, it's striking that people were still there, not panicking, not stampeding ... being calm, brave and showing their support for President Trump.
