ENOUGH with the “she needs to introduce herself to the American people;” if you don’t know who she is, it’s because you don’t want to know! Rallies, local visits, interviews, podcasts, videos, etc. (past and present), you can find all kinds of info about her, from her and from those who know her well. We don’t (I certainly don’t) always learn more when journalists interview candidates; often their goal is to ask “got cha” questions to promote themselves, go viral, start memes, etc. Another debate is a waste of time, they’re performative and once again simply more opportunities for journalists and pundits to analyze it to death - more on camera spots, podcasts, posts, and articles to overcrowd the media space. That's definitely their MO. But to be fair, it's not like it's beyond the democrats to try and put a positive spin on a bad debate performance. *Gestures at post Biden's debate*
I have seen a marked decline in Trump's general performance over the past 18 months at least. Whatever 'charisma' he may have possessed back in 2015/16 is completely gone now- replaced with bitterness, childish insults and repetitive rubbish involving Hannibal Lecter, sharks and sinking electric boats. On the other hand, Harris really stepped up to the plate and acted very presidential. If the common complaint has been that people don't know who she is, they would definitely know who she is by now. Another Trump win could send the US into a very dark place indeed.
I have been recommended a lot of 2016 republican primary debate clips since Tuesday. I don't know if it's because I've switched off from Trump for sake of my personal life. But he's super low energy now, and very dark and sullen. He's got that victim card complex imo.

I think it's fair for Chas to play "Devil's Advocate" on this issue. He often does so and it's fairly clear from his body language when he's doing so. It's useful to understand where the other side is coming from even if it is just to understand why they are wrong. I think it's one of the best things about this program.
That's not at all what Chas was doing. He was explaining a phenomenon and why it probably is occurring and why that means it will continue to occur. And he finished that by saying it had to get dealt with soon or it will become a serious problem. How you could interpret that is him trying to put a positive spin on lying is bizarre.
According to the ASPCA: Approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.9 million are dogs and 3.4 million are cats. Each year, approximately 2.7 million animals are euthanized (1.2 million dogs and 1.4 million cats). and they are not eaten, maybe do something about this instead of worrying about a few wild ducks and geese, because that's the origin of the story they eat dogs and cats in Springfield.
It is a disgrace that so many animals are killed. I own a Staffordshire male who is an example of the good nature of this breed when trained consistently but without beatings or other brutal methods. He is loving and cuddly, friendly even to strangers. When he meets bad people, he avoids them.

Reality is, both Biden and Trump are too old and senile to be president of the USA anymore, while RFK is simple too weird & wacky. VP Kamala is the obvious choice to be the 47th President of the USA. At that 1st presidential debate, both old men probably forgot where they were, what they were going to say, and wondering what the frk were they doing there in the first place. It's high time for age limit to be set for the President, Senator, Congressperson, and Judges in the Supreme Court (with term limit) of the USA.
In most countries nowdays the retirement age is 68, it used to be 60 for women and 65 for men back in the day however It depends a lot on genetics and lifestyle as to the ageing process. Trump went from his promise to drain the swamp and pretty soon had nepotism running rife in the Capitol. Person, Man, Woman, Camera, Tv and the USA being better than the world in deaths from Covid stood out.
There is a minimum age requirement to run for POTUS, so I can't see any reason why they can't also have a maximum age of for instance 70. Clearly both Trump and Biden are too old.
I notice he only went onto the cats and dog line to avoid answering why he killed the border deal in congress. Maybe he went too hard into the distraction one liner.

The reason Taylor Swift's endorsement is more meaningful than most is that it spurs a lot of young people, especially women to vote. There is also a small bump to volunteer work. Still the claims either way are horrific & unjust, just seems like there’s a teeny bit of cognitive dissonance.
@@julzmusic8708 I wouldn't say a "teeny bit," I'd say people actively don't know where their food comes from and what death looks like. It may not be 'palatable' to modern sensibilities, but wringing the head off a duck/chicken/goose is a quick death that also ensures your dinner doesn't get away if you happen not to have restraints nearby. People eat geese/chicken/ducks all the time. I'm not upset at folks who see them as food catching them to eat as food. If the park wants to make that illegal (poaching) they can move to do so, but "horrific" is not at all what I'd call that. Catching dinner, is what I'd call that.
