None of it can possibly change your mind because it just isn't what you're concerned about.

I've been saying that if there was anyone who truly cared about him, he wouldn't be on camera. He would be receiving the care he so obviously needs. He has this whole grand riffing routine that he's doing here, trying to convey that he's psychologically and emotionally enraptured by it, but he never drills down and talks about a book he's read on the civil war, or a movie, or a particular general and what he liked about that general, or a battle and specifics about that battle, etc. There's no real evidence from this bit of his speech that he's ever read a single page in a history book about it, or watched a single minute of documentary, or ever had even a brief conversation with someone in his life who knows much about the civil war.
