The judge was biased against Trump, that was obvious. There was nothing Trump could have said or done that would have changed this travesty of justice. The plan was to weaponize the judicial system in order to remove the political rival. There was never a crime.

You know the answer, yet you still ask the idiotic question. It's almost never a good idea to take the stand, even for the average person. In Trump's case, because of how the liars are known to twist his words and take them out of context, it would have been foolish for him to testify. That's why you wanted him to testify; so the media could take him out of context and create slogans for Biden to use in his campaign. Everyone has the right not to testify as guaranteed by the 5th Amendment, and Trump was right not to take the stand.

He has every right to do so--- BUT there is no presumption of innocence under appeal, he can and will be sentenced, and that sentence can be carried out under appeal. Meaning, he can't sleaze his way out of any of this pending appeal. Most in his position would be appeal from inside a prison cell, but his fate is COMPLETELY in the hands of the judge now.
