I just looked at my last week's pay stub I grossed (before taxes) $1043.70 my Net pay (after taxes & health insurance of $191/wk for myself and my wife) I come home with $719.81 n thats claiming 0 dependants I paid less than $150 split between both FICA and Medicare so how r u paying over $1000 in taxes over 2 weeks when even if I doubled everything to make it coincide with a bi weekly paycheck I would still pay less than $300 between FICA/Medicare and I would be paying less than $400 for my Healthcare Insurance I would get $2087.40 for 2 weeks and would bring home $1439.62 meaning my taxes and benefits for 2 weeks would total $647.82 not $1100 as u claimed but I also live in a State that doesn't have Income Tax

Those born between 1946 and 1964 (Baby boomers) is now retiring in LARGE numbers, which means more people are drawing benefits. While there are fewer workers paying into the system to support these benefits. In 1950, there were about 16 workers for every Social Security beneficiary. Today, that ratio is closer to 2.8 workers per beneficiary, and it's projected to drop to 2 workers per beneficiary by 2035. This has to be taken more seriously now than ever before. 👀Cause no administration will be able to fix this without raising payroll taxes, increasing the retirement age or reducing benifits. 🤷
