While you are right about this, I think it's a timing thing that gets the President so much heat about the ice cream...and in fairness, President Biden has bought up ice cream fairly regularly. People made comments about the ice cream but it was when the President talked about ice cream while at the press conference for the kids killed in the shooting in Nashville that it became a bigger dig at the President. Standing on a stage where you are about to address the public about a tragic event is a horrible time to talk about what ice cream flavor is your favorite. The majority of people understand liking ice cream but the majority of people aren't the ones standing on a stage addressing people and cameras about a tragic event only to talk about ice cream flavors with a big smile and then turn around and switch face in a literal instant to solemn and somber about the murders of people. That's when the ice cream digs got even more personal at this president, before that, it was just a soft serve target to poke fun at the current president about. All the Presidents have running jokes about them but again, timing does matter. Joking at a serious event like he was at was nothing but disrespect and a real glimpse into how he can flip face in an instant...from gleeful to sorrowful in one frame.
