Harris is currently losing in early voting by huge margins in Nevada, Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina. The early voting blue firewall that had a million votes in Pennsylvania in 2020 only has 300,000. Remember Biden won Pennsylvania by only 80,000 votes.
Democrats are not pitching the economy message properly. People think that because Trump is a business man that he will be better in running the economy. Before Donald Trump became President, he said he would reduce the deficit. He didn't. He increased it by $7.8 TRILLION. He doesn't understand tariffs. When he was interviewed by John Micklethwait from Bloomberg, he said "It must be hard for you to spend 25 years talking about tariffs as being negative and then have somebody explain to you that you're totally wrong." All of the "things were cheaper in 2019" people act like they have amnesia. They just completely ignore the effects that covid had on economies worldwide, not just the US. A global shut down will have very long lasting effects. Inflation is now getting lower and prices will eventually go down, but things will never be like they were pre-covid no matter who the president is. But good luck trying to get those people to understand logic, reason, and basic economics.
It seems people who talk about Trump's economy don't want a great economy so much as they want prices to return to levels seen 8 years ago. That will never happen no matter who is in office. And they forget that Trump's tariffs while in office raised consumer prices on many items.
