Project 2025 needs to be covered daily until the election. It's big enough with enough content to keep it relevant in the news cycle and it's critically important for everyone to know about it.

The great irony of the illegal Mexican immigration issue is something that is almost always overlooked by those who disparage Mexico. We acquired half of Mexico by 1848 primarily because of the illegal immigration of citizens of the United States into the Mexican state of Texas in the 1820s and early 1830s. When Mexico gained its independence from Spain in 1821, Texas was only thinly settled by Spanish-speaking Tejanos. When American impresarios petitioned Mexico to allow some American families to settle in Texas, they were granted permission on the condition that they become Mexican citizens, embrace the Catholic faith, and obey Mexican laws. However, as these legal Americans arrived to take advantage of free land, thousands of illegal Americans also crossed the border. (Limited funds limited ability to trade and limited military) In response to a law in 1830 prohibiting further American immigration to Texas and President Santa Anna’s campaign to replace the federal system with a more centralized authority, Texans rebelled in 1836 and declared the Lone Star Republic. Some 78 percent of the volunteers flooding into Texas to fight Mexico in 1836 arrived illegally (after 1830). Heroes of the Alamo like Davy Crockett and William Travis were illegal aliens, as was Sam Houston, whose army defeated Santa Anna at San Jacinto. Ms. Vance correctly references the balance of powers and the check/balances built into the design of our government...but what Ms. Vance doesn't mention is that the Executive branch has exceeded their intended authority in many areas (especially through Presidential Executive Orders and powers taken by administrative agencies). Now that the Supreme Court is taking some of that away from the Feds, some are freaking out. But there's much more to do, which starts with States taking back more individual control and reducing the Federal government back to its core obligations.

people seem to forget that our founding fathers was extreme federalist to the point especially George Washington had to be told you you can't run a government like this nor can it be a pure democracy. reason this country is amazing. they found a way to balance both while only keeping the non-tyrannical things democracy provides like the ability and right to govern yourself. which most pure democracies and federalist governments you probably wouldn't because both require full government control of your life. period. it doesnt matter if its a democracy or a republic if the government says its trying to help you buy doing this for you theyre not actually trying to help you. the constitution is there to restrict the government not the other way around.

If Trump is elected, he can declare any "project" he wants. So put worries about Roe, etc. aside temporarily and tackle the total safety of our democracy first.
