@@AndresOspina1018 They removed another 13 boxes or so from his residence. Don't remember the exact number, but multiple boxes. So obviously they thought they found something. Give it time. We have no idea what was in the boxes. I love that the GOP is going to claim the FBI planted 13 boxes worth...all from backpacks of what is far more likely tactical gear. But given their intelligence, they'll all believe it if FOX airs it.

Just remember folks, in a criminal trial you are protected from adverse inference if you plead the fifth, but are only sometimes protected in a civil case (it seems to depend on specific details of the case). Also, the New York case isn't a criminal one so... yeah, pleading the fifth very well may allow the judge or jury to say, "yep, guilty"

@@clintonmckenzie1058 I assume that you are referencing the fact that Trump himself said that. If so, yeah, it makes him look like an idiot and a criminal. On the chance that you aren't, here's a scenario where someone might choose to plead the fifth but not be guilty of the crime. They plead the fifth because while they didn't do the crime they are charged with they WERE having a homosexual affair at the time and are more worried about that coming out than they are worried about the potential criminal conviction. There are, of course, much better ways to protect that sensitive bit of their love life, but those would require working WITH their lawyer and the person in question wants to keep it secret even from their lawyer.

You are referring to an “Alford plea”. That’s what people plea when they refuse to admit their guilt, but the evidence is overwhelming…not pleading the fifth. Pleading the fifth is the only legal way to avoid answering questions. It does not inherently mean someone has committed a crime.
