I have these for visitors to my home track and I'm very pleased with them. I use their PWM controller for club racing, it works so well with a variety of motors, vintage and modern on various tracks
Yep I have one. They are fast becoming the most popular controller for HO racing clubs in Australia. The best value for money HO controller I’ve seen and used.
Thanks John, yeah the more I use it the more I like it. The trigger spring is a little stiff for my liking even at the loosest setting, I think I am just used to my Difalco controller spring.
I think a better comparison would be this versus a Professor motor controller. Of the 4 he ordered , I am the buyer of 2 of those. I plan to compare it to a PM and a SCP-2 slot-it controller. As for having to adjust the Blue pot, it isn't surprising as they are primarily set for 1/32 scale and up slotcars. I also like that like the controllers are self contained. It's just a cleaner setup to me.
Thanks BigDaddy for the info, I figured it may have been set for a different scale and agree about them being self contained, I like that look as well.
If those guys get a US distributor and ship some inventory over here, they could really have something. Really interesting trigger contact. I like what I see. I'm inclined toward the MT1. I've been considering moving up from the classic Parma resistor controllers but they are just built like tanks and even though they have a limited ohm range and no drivability features, I'm never concerned about blowing out electronic components. But these British controllers are +/- tolerant and in my price range. I'm really interested. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah I like what I am seeing as well and the more I use it the more I like it. Took a bit to get used to the stiffer trigger compared to my Difalco but I am adjusting. I seem to have better control with this controller but the cars seem to go a little slower with this controller which is not necessarily a bad thing, helps keep the car on the track. The build quality seems good, it seems like it can take some abuse, I like the enclosed design.
Yeah, it requires a little tweaking to get it dialed in for HO cars, I think it came setup for 1/32 scale cars. It has some good features though at its price point.
It was not set correctly when you used it, adjusting the internal pot made a big difference in how it runs the HO cars. Someone else told me they come set for 1/32 cars and you do need to adjust the internal pot for it to properly control HO.
