You should be talking to a lawyer who specialises in Trusts. I would assume the answers are in the Trust document as that should set out who benefits, the rules around pay outs and who governs the Trust. Take good advice from a lawyer who knows Trusts.

There are no regulations in New Zealand for trust is under the public trust that they treat all trust with their companies family trust business trust charity trust incorporate societies they allow them to be treated all the same way and whoever is the Lawyer Barrister broker account and who signs the trust they actually have full fledge authority of the trust. The other thing they allow in New Zealand is for the Lawyer Barrister broker account and not to tell you the terms and conditions of the trust so they don't tell you that I trust supersedes will so if you make a wheel out later it doesn't even exist or doesn't even matter and if they put their home address as a Trust address the lawyer barrister broker account has full access with a Police assistance to get anything off that property and destroy any evidence or anywhere or any accounts any computer information

Yes, a Trust can be a shareholder of a Limited Liability Company. You would need specialist tax and legal advice to ensure your setup was correct and you were achieving the goals you had in mind.
