This made a grown man cry. Such a beautiful moment captured here. Heavenly actually, except in heaven it doesn’t end. Won’t that be nice. May all of us be ready for that day.
Beautiful performance! Last November I saw Damien in Guadalajara, México and this song was with no doubt my favourite. He sang in almost total darkness and no mic, just his voice and the guitar for the whole theater while we helped with chorus.
I can only hope to hear him play live one day (a duet & I could go to heaven). Sounds like a night of Damien love for you. Too cool man. thanks for that.
Lo que daría por ir a verlo, ojala vuelva pronto. No soy mucho de gastar en conciertos y este tipo de eventos , peor puedo hacer un esfuerzo. Espero que el maldito covid no interfiera mucho :c
Portland, OR with my daughter. We waited by his bus and got serenaded on street with three more songs. He makes me want to be a better man, a better dad - a better human.
Excuse my language but FUCK! This oke is a legend! Such respect for his art, for his lyrics, for his class, for his I-dont-conform-to-this-shit-music-today skill, his attitude, his modesty, his pure talent... Every hat I have ever owned, Mr. Rice, I lift to you, Sir. Truly, a genius, in every aspect of harmony and voice.
Didn't I just see this from another angle...? Either way I like this one better. Thank you for sharing! I love seeing the singers he's planted in the audience, and seeing the "real" audience's reaction when the singers start singing. It's that "HOLY FUCK" realization haha!
There's this thing in our lives: Something in exchange for something. We always wondered where this unexplainable beauty he gives us through music is coming from and I think the things he had sacrificed is a major part of it. Not that I'm glad it happened. If anything, I'll gladly accept a world without his music in exchange for his happiness. I adore him so much. But not gonna lie, that world will feel empty.
@@ropieselle907 everyone feels pain and grief, and Rice’s ability to turn all his suffering and turmoil into something so sublime and universally resonating is truly something to be admired.
@@DressedRunner but it's just saddening to think how he has to go through these things. Countless pain to a masterpiece, what a heartbreaking system that cannot be changed.
@@klickingkayasmr7585 You can hear whatever you wish as to why Lisa and Damien drifted apart but at least have the respect for both of them to keep your hearsay off of the internet. Appreciate his music. Leave the tabloid crap to the red tops.
I met some lads from Cork in Boston. They seemed to be tough guys; for a lad from the Boston burbs. Seems like Cork may have lightened up a bit over the last 30 years.
