When I was about to come to India I had so many ideas too. Especially because everyone around me scared me to death about what to expect. But I was sooo wrong. Everyone were sooo wrong. And I do not, even for a little bit regret coming. I am but only glad I did. And now I am married to an Indian Hindu of all people! 😁😄 Love from Turkey 😊🙏❤
@@aryandhiman13 We got rid of the TV. And RU-vid videos are pretty much all we watch now for entertainment. And these are generally recommended videos, so maybe the algorithm is showing us the same videos? 😄😁
Rickshaw driver or any seller for the matter hypes up the price for everyone, because they also know that we gonna bargain to reduce the normal price, so they increase in the start to bargain.
I only see them during SAAWAN, the holy month of *MAHADEV* . And never see snake charmers the entire year or rarely during *Kumbh Mela* at *PRAYAGRAJ* .
உண்மையை சொன்ன பெஞ்சமினுக்கு தமிழ்நாடு மக்கள் சார்பாக நன்றிகள் ஜெய் ஹிந்த் Thanks for your understanding and for telling the truth Benjamin. Best wishes from Tamilnadu Jai hind
Once legends said"it's easier to get into havard or mit but not in the IIT" Accept it IIT is the nightmare for foreign students, they can't even qualify the jee main 😂😂😂
@@Captain_Sosuke_Aizen reason is his wife is from a political family. so propaganda is there. and now he is spreading love for hindu temple etc as he got banned from india 🤣
You are foreigner, even Indian people when go to the other part or state of India they have to pay higher price than local, local understand that he/she is from other state of India by language/accent😂😂😂😂
@@epicyoutuberecommendations yes but know the whereabouts of the place where you have to go. Bargaining now a days is no more, only in few specific market where you will benefitted, rest of all places not much weigh on your pocket.
sorry from my side, in north people study only to get a govt job mostly, and their idea of south india comes from Bollywood and south cinmeas since all south movies are dubbed in hindi so people assume they also speak hindi, since this is their only source of knowledge, but most young people in cities knows the diffrence, again i ask sorry on their behalf
@@oksowhat why are you sorry. This also holds true for the north east. Most Indians do not know any north eastern languages. Hindi should be made the national language because almost everyone can understand it and learn it.
@@edwardspencer9397 Nop. Only around 40 % of Indians are hindi speakers. Hindi is already an official language. What's the point of enforcing a national langauge ?
In one of your earlier videos, you had said, "India is my home now", and the way you talk about everything ... it really shows. I am sure many foreign visitors are finding your channel and/or your blog before they decide on their journey, and your influence and your information is certainly making their journeys safer, more enjoyable. At the same time, it is also positively effecting the locals all those visitors interact with. So, thank you for your wonderful work. Addendum: the production quality of your videos is pretty awesome these days!
Well, Indian Railways has been revamped tremendously. Those pictures are mostly in history now.... If you can pay good then you will have a wonderful journey throughout India especially Himalayan and Konkan Railway
The transformation of Indian Railways has been phenomenal in the past few years. Increased cleanliness and sanitation, modern rolling stock, great infrastructure, increased punctuality and speed. The services onboard have become better on many trains as well.
Hey Ben, You are doing more to improve India's image in the west than what Indians themselves could do to improve our image abroad. Thank you so much, Ben. We owe you a lot!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Benjamin's research and coverage is spot on . Spitting straight facts and things as they are. I follow some foreign youtubers but this by far the most spot on coverage and true perception vs reality coverage of Indian sub continent.
Meat is very common around the world but it's hard for Vegetarian travelers like me actually India is heaven for Vegetarians u can get variety of dishes !
Hey as an indian I can’t believe people think that India is a uneducated country and also please do make more of these videos so that we can try to make this as awareness and also I am a new subscriber!!
One more misconception :- ,,😂😂'' One of my online friend from US told me once that according to him , India being a spiritual country , he expected everyone on the streets and all the indians must be doing Yoga every morning and evening . There must be hundreds of thousands of Yoga centers everywhere.
The official languages of India are Hindi and English on federal level. On state level there are 22 official languages. Due to 343 article Hindi is an official language but amendment in 1963 allowed using English.
Your experience is accurate to south India but your view had been different if it had been in Delhi or UP where most tourist go to. To understand India, you have to spend time in each state and I hope you will enlighten some people.
I always take uber or ola because - 1. Regular auto drivers charge 20% more if they know you are not from that area/speak the language fluently 2. They charge you way higher at night because of colorful excuses such as them not being able to find any return passengers on the way back after dropping you off 3. I can pay with digital cash instead of physical, although this is slowly changing
India is a highly populated country with extreme competition so you will come across a whole lot of different types of people, be it personality wise, religion wise ,language wise and list goes on.To survive in such a country, you will have to be smart, straight spoken, tricky, selfish and rude sometimes. And please don't be too kind and give how much ever money they are demanding no matter how pitiful or innocent they look, you have to be strong on your point and bargain like a pro. Happy Stay.
I admire your research on India and your generous opinion. Thanks for exploring Thiruvannamalai my district headquarters Wish you safe journey during your stay in India
I like your comment about languages that is true in india, we love tamil language which is very old living language in the world now, we are against hindi language imposition. We love English as well, well done brother, love from Chennai ❤️
I see most of the people in the comment section are indians, i feel kinda sad that we indians already know true india but the pnes westerners who need to know the truth are not present here, so kinda 😔
Hey ben ! I have been watching your videos for some time now ...i noticed that you are based in southern india only ...but why not try north india? You can spend a month or two in north india or can shift here now, because it's a completely different place, has complete different way of living and completely different people. You can consider living in noida or greater noida in the state of uttarpradesh , these cities are very clean developed and have good roads .... u'll have a good time living here.
Surely he wont because All those stereotypes he us talking about is applicable for north India Im from UP and yes in south they have soo much stereotypes for us
There isn't any country where you don't find scammers . So instead of spreading negativity about any country , they must learn to deal with them . Like by watching videos of other travelers and how they deal with scammers 🤝
I was so much relieved you mentioned kerala in every instance possible, I too love kerala, kerala is more secure than any other tourist destination, I don't know why I had a experience in TN THEY CHARGED ME 80 RS FOR A NEARBY DESTINATION AUTO RIKSHA THEY CAME AROUND A SAME ROUTE TWICE (HOW I NOTICED I SAW THE SAME STATUE TWICE) SCAMMERS ARE THERE EVERYWHERE WE NEED TO BE SO CAREFUL, AND THANK YOU FOR INTRODUCING BRAHMA MUHURTHA WILL BE PRACTICING, NAMASKARAM
Rickshaw drivers do tend to increase or decrease prices as per the time hour as well. Like when in morning I had missed the bus and had to travel, they take Rs. 5, but during rush hours of afternoon they would take Rs. 7 from everyone.
