folks ive been living in Canada for over 40 years and prior to that 5 years in England. sure the standards and money is good compared to India but you have to sweat it out and do all types of jobs from.cleaning bathrooms to driving trucks construction and other jobs in factories and warehouses only time to spend with family is weekends if you're lucky my advice spent 5 years abroad and work.hard save money and go back to India and invest in a business there . you.will certainly have good life and children will be better off than in Canada or England. i understand it's tempting to make money but don't trade your ideals and values for wealth there are many wealthy people who when young were driven and worked 20 hours a day now they have wealth but children don't have time to look after them or even respect them.

What most movies, media, RU-vidrs talk is salary…and people are blown away. How many actually stop and think about cost of living. 1. Rent/ mortgage, electricity, gas, water, other utilities, taxes ( country + states + county(district)+city) taxes; 2. gasoline as in petrol, car payment and auto insurance ( absolutely no public transportation, if husband and wife work in different offices must have 2 cars and if kid is older they might need it if they have additional classes other than regular school, as parents may not always be able to drop, so 3 times the cost if applicable); 3. Groceries…the more longer its winter in the place you live, the more expensive vegetables and other stuff get as most of them have to be transported in refrigerator trucks. Harvest mostly stops around September to some where early nov if lucky that too in south. Warm season does comeback till end of April down south and end of may rest of North America. March may be good for some planting…but it’s too down south again think transportation in such huge continent. 4. INSURANCE…it’s such a huge thing . You can’t just walk to a your doctor if you cut or have a non life threatening accident (ER), urgent care only takes in based on so many clauses even if you have insurance. - other insurance..home owner insurance or renter insurance, auto insurance, pet insurance and if living in rental pay rent for pet to stay even if you are owner, dental insurance, vision insurance..medical won’t cover. If you have home depending on geography flood insurance,..blah blah you get the point, you have to have them. It’s not a choice, unless you you are ready to be scared every moment and pray nothing goes wrong inside or outside the house. Rental insurance is a compulsory so is pet and auto and some more. 5. Other necessities like clothes, multiple layers just to keep warm from oct to April end, not for fashion but safety. Other household necessities 6. I haven’t even started on things like school supplies, stuff that need to be purchased regularly etc. 7. Then there are small luxuries like eating out, probably a movie once in a while So stop falling and think through. I am not saying all people are struggling, there are people who are well off just like in India. I am saying that if you are earning in dollars then you also are spending in dollars, think about that
