When Jenn said, "It's sad to see you don't see what I'm hearing", it hit me. It's so rare, for me at least, to hear compliments based who we are as a person, rather than superficial compliments based on outer qualities. I realized how meaningful it is to give and receive compliments on areas we would normally never would have thought can make an impact on others. Since our minds are programmed to be so fixated on outer appearances in order to feel "beautiful" or "accepted" into a society, i find it so special that there are those who truly care and can notice us for who we are more than we see ourselves.
