Imagine the anxiety the camera drone is experiencing? 😂

Its small size means it's easier to transport, you can transport more of them, it's easier to conceal or hide, and it can enter areas other platforms can go. Meanwhile it appears to have A LOT of fire power. Being unmanned, it's also technically attritable.

Suggestion: When the system matures do a shot where you shoot down the camera drone, it would be fantastic marketing and is a very compelling shot. Ideally you'd get lucky and have the footage saved high quality on the drone still- I'm sure you can figure out how to make that happen. But even the wireless transmitted feed would be quality enough to be very impressive

Very interesting concept. How does it perform when defending itself against multiple fpv drones? Because any enemy is going to first try to take them out with cheap $5000 fpv drones.

The right move is that making the weapon system to be unmanned. Combine with airburst 30mm gun, it can 1 shot a drone which is cost effective too. I think the cost of 1 smart bullet is equal to the cost of drone itself.

FPV drone with explosive strap onto it is like 2k a piece. Stinger missile is not 2k a piece.

Nah, Russia and China are far ahead in terms of SHORAD systems and generally ground AA, yes U.S. have superior Air Force but on ground Reds AA rulez... P.S. FPVs are special category, they are still ENIGMA for everyone, how to cost effectively stop them..!?

How much does it cost, and how easy is it to fix with rudimentary means that's often the case on high-intensity battlefields, that's why Western gear is performing poorly in Ukraine, too complex; ending up being inadequate and not useful? We are also seeing now how Patriot launchers are useless because of the cost of ammunition.

You know, I wish American creativity in the defense industry comes back. cool concept but this is sad.. im guessing a slow fire rate cannon? also stinger pods from the mid 1960's? i mean get real. we have a layered air defense system. patriot. aegis thaad and 2 others. costing millions for each missile. How about we get some modern things here folks. we are not fighting dirt farmers anymore. this thing should have a AESA radar constantly and low band search radar coupled with the aim120D'd or develope something else. but we have NASAMS use the radar from it or a smaller version. slap 4 Aim120's maybe a aim9x too?. Because a stinger missle not intercepting targets more then 5km away. and this would be another layer of air defense to our already capable AD network. The cost... money.
