Hi everyone
Thanks For joining me again in the RC fun and games garage, and today we’ve got something I’ve been looking forward to since The release of the TRX4M.
On my journeys of looking for new and different parts for the trx4m platform, I came across this awesome chassis from GR-RC.
And of course I had to get it, so I could start my custom 6 x 6 build.
So in this video, I will show you guys around this chassis. Talk about what you get and the issues I had to address, and of course I will take it for a quick test around the backyard course.
I am only running the stock electronics from Traxxas because it’s what I had lying around and didn’t want to throw the parts I bought for the build on it yet.
So this is just a quick short review of the chassis, And hopefully one of my next videos will be my custom IR60 trx6m build.

I just hope it turns out as good as what I've got in my head!! It is always so much fun, to work on a build, especially when you can't just buy whatever you want to fit to it! and actually make some custom parts. Hopefully I can get most of this done this week, so I can get a video for the weekend. I really appreciate the enthusiasm with this build!! I have been looking at this rig for a few months and was waiting for someone to give a review on it. Thank you for giving some feedback. I’m probably going to pick one up in the near future. Did you open the axles up and see if they put metal gears in or how they built the center axle?

I will be going through that in the next video as I start doing the build. But from what I can tell they are definitely all metal gears But definitely need to be opened and Greased. I'm glad you like the review, I am busy working right now on the build. And yes the gears are all metal, but they have absolutely no grease. The center axle all they did was make another cup so that you could put a pinion gear. If you are going to build something like this you need this center axle, and a pair of diamond axles so the rear axle ring and pinion can be flipped so it can go to the right direction. I've already ordered just the center axle and chassis rails for another Build. I definitely think this chassis is worth it if you want the 6 by 6 trx4m I really appreciate you watching and commenting bro. 🤜🤛

I was really hoping then you release was going to be a 6x6!!! But instead they gave us a monster truck! I see lots of people building 6x6s so hopefully they will get the idea! 😂🤣

Bro it's freaking awesome I've been looking everywhere for what I needed to make a 6x6 trx4m! I asked a few people! but they weren't very helpful. So off to many hours of looking online I finally found this on AliExpress, definitely took long enough to get here! 45 days!! Like I mentioned in the video it had a couple of issues that needed addressing, but it's running really solid right now and I'm sure it will be a great platform. I am going to be using an IR40 Injora body, with a custom bed made by 3D RC for it. I have also ordered just a set of chassis rails and the center axle so I can do another build! So there's going to be a few 6x6s on the channel in the next few weeks! Since the axles and everything else is actually quite good on this kit I am going to use it, and use the other parts I've ordered for my next build! Bro thanks for watching and hopefully I'll see you again on the next one!! 🤜🤛

Don’t forget to use the green slime for your shocks. They will not only help them glide better the little O-rings and what not but they will also prevent leaks. Good job on the bill brother. Can’t wait to get mine.

I did use the green slime on the shocks when I first got the chassis and they wouldn't move at all. Once I put some green slime and filled then with oil, it made a massive difference!! Well I've got to say I'm quite impressed with what you get with this chassis, and the most complicated part is definitely going to be fitting and making a custom bed for the IR 40 to fit!! Let's see how it goes! 3DRC is working on a bed for it right now! Hopefully over this week I can get some of the work done on it and get a video up! I'm glad to hear that broke because I really excited for the 6x6 build!! I am going to be using the IR40 Injora body for this build. 3D RC is already working on a custom extended bed to fit the 6x6. Now it is just a little bit of patience trying to get all the measurements right. Stay tuned hopefully I'll get a video up this week. I really appreciate you watching and commenting bro!

I totally agree! right now we are working on a pickup extended bed and we will also be designing a wrecker bed for it. When I mean we I mean 3D RC 😅 We are just trying to get all the measurements right so we can print the first prototype so I can get on with the build. Bro I thought I was going to have to change a lot more on it!! It's actually quite decent, so I'm going to be using quite a few of the components that are already on it, but they are definitely going to be some awesome parts going on to it. Lack of oil doesn’t make the shocks stiff. The springs did that

Okay you buy the chassis and then let me know if you didn't have the same problem!! The nylon piece inside the shock is a very tight fit and rubs against the shock walls!! as soon as I put willing them they moved beautifully and freely!! But you know what do I know 🤣 Still appreciate you tuning in bro!

I got one a few weeks ago. Got the mofo high torque motor in it atm. Made duallys for it also. I mocked up the injora IR40 body on it but I also have a spare k10 body sitting around. Haven't decided what one to go with yet.

It's not a bad chassis but I'm sure just like me you noticed it had quite a few articulating and drive issues! But all in all it's a great platform to do a build from. I am going to be running the new 370 motor transmission combo from Injora, I'm probably also going to change out the front and rear axle. I like your idea of the dually wheels! On this first one I'm building I will just make it for crawling, the next one I will work to make a tow truck so then I'll probably work on some dually wheels too! Sounds like you've got one awesome project going there bro! Really appreciate you tuning in and leaving me a comment! 🤜💥🤛

Yeah my chassis had some issues with it. They installed the rear links wrong and I did notice the rear driveshaft was short too and popped out, but only with some some major flex. At the moment I added some washers to push the driveshafts together more and less play and slop. Hopefully it helps. They did send me extra front and rear driveshaft though so that's a plus. With the motor set up I got right now it's pretty good. I thought it be slow but it gets up and moves. And with all the extra weight too from more tires and everything. Still trying to figure out a body for it. I have a IR40 body but that's kinda been done already. I'm thinking the k10 body but with a mod bed with the fenders flares or the 1/18 59 Apache step side. Love the content though. When I got into the trx4m I watched a lot of your videos. They helped a lot. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see what you do with your 6x6.

Tell me about it bro!! I had been looking everywhere for a way to have the center axle!! And then I came across this whole chassis with all the axles links transmission etc!! And with a bit of tweaking! it is a little beast. Yes I'm going to do the IR 40 body, but with a custom extended bed! So it will be an IR60 TRX6m build. They now have just the center axle and the chassis rails for sale to! Just ordered a set today! So the next one will be even better than this one!! And I'm already thinking of how I'm going to build an 8x8 😉

It's already been sitting here for 2 weeks 😜 The only thing holding me up is the order I made for drive shaft and links!! Hopefully they will be us soon, if not I'm going to do this build in two parts.
