I thought ERRA's Self Titled and Augment would be the only albums to ever make me cry. I was wrong. Best of luck to Currents, Sleep Token, Veil of Maya, and any other bands dropping albums this year, they're gonna need it.

This album is blood of the heart. And your reaction is so real. You're always real anyway. But this is pure transcendence.

The mix change they did for Shade Astray was a cool surprise when I listened to the album release

i didn't necessarily cry, but i was definitely getting chills and caught somewhere between a stank face and a pog face throughout most of this release. I thought the singles released leading up to the album's release were the best songs i'd heard from IA, and yet i still feel that they were purposefully reserving their best material for the album itself. My favorite songs were somehow the B-side? Mental. I can't get over Purity Weeps and Void Surfacing, it's just straight banger after banger.

I think we all failed, like damn this album just hits on another level, it makes me feel things and have a whole new appreciation for (metal) music in general, so grateful for it all! Thank you for this reaction, I had a buddy to cry with now ❤️ AOTY

Invent Animate’s music is so big and emotional that it will take me the guts of a month or however long to fully understand this album in it’s entirety. I’ve never ever had a number one metal album, I’ve grown up with many sub genres and for that reason there’s never been a spot for one. Invent Animate told me no telepathically and gave me Heavener. All I can really say for now is Thanks, Thanks to Invent Animate. They (need) to play a show in Ireland.

On my first listen the tears came during Emberglow. The entire album is master class. At the end of the year i wont be surprised if my spotify top 5 is all Heavener songs. AOTY.

Ia is my favorite band. I got into them when greyview dropped and that album has been on repeat for 3 years. Heavener is the most excited i have ever been for music and it still blew me away. No song has ever had such an emotional impact on me than elysium.

So one of my all time favourite metal songs is a “better days” by currents, which I know you LOVE as well, so I KNEW you would go nuts for the riff in “void surfacing” as it is a similar kind of style. It’s just incredible. The whole album is a masterpiece!

I feel you with Without a Whisper mate, the album came out the same day my nan got diagnosed with cancer unfortunately, so the song and album really hitting me places.

absolute fucking masterpiece. i cried like a baby with every single song. I'd be so surprised if any song released this year can top purity weeps as being my favourite of the year. also showing photos of your grandma during without a whisper was so beautiful. i hope you're coping okay with the loss and I'm sure she would be so happy seeing you being able to relate the music you love to her memory

Just hoping they blow up more with this album. They are always in support and play short set lists. Deserve to be headlining tours.

this album is perfect. I've had such a strong emotional reaction to so many of the tracks here, this might go down as an all-time favorite for sure. what a fucking experience. always nice to have another person to cry with haha. music is such an amazing vehicle for emotion.

I'm so mad at myself for not having listened to this band sooner, only started discovering their music at the start of the year and they are already one of my faves. Such a good band, they simply don't miss! Can be emotional with those beautiful cleans, ruthless with both highs and low screams/growls plus those riffs and chunky guitar tones... Each song is an absolute eargasm , great reaction aswell

Man I’m really excited for new Sleep Token, Termina, Currents, all the other new music coming, but damn if this isn’t the best friggin album I’ve ever heard. I’m skeptical that I will like anything this much for a long long time

I saw Invent Animate live with ERRA and Silent Planet on the day this album was released last friday. The other bands were constantly shouting out this album, it was so wholesome! Invent Animate was so amazing too! :D

Did not expect that there will be an album so soon after Erra's Selftitled that will be that good, but this album is just incredible. For me personally, this is probably in TOP 5 of all time.

Respect! Appreciate the rawness and vulnerability. Only two albums evoke genuine emotion in me aswell, it is "the way it ends" by Currents and "Heavener" by Invent. The hardest album to listen to from an emotional perspective is "I won't survive" by Convictions. It is the heaviest albums emotionally and musically. Strongly recommend @drewfortune.
