It was violent, some dude almost hit me with a trash can (I'm 5'5 and like 120 pounds), and he would've decked me if it weren't for this giant dude behind me. He took it like a champ, then glass bottles and cans went everywhere. Well, that was Bodysnatcher. Slaughter was just a ton of fun, Alex started revealing his "No Mic Screams" on that tour and blew my mind 😂 I met them all, too

@@jackwillow4374 well that’s the whole issue is the whole subgenre thing, these bands aren’t branching off with their sound within Deathcore because they keep slapping some super specific label on their music and not a whole lot of people are going to listen to an ultra specific micro genre.

Im into “simpler” metal i guess. Tunnel-throaty vocals are *cool* to listen to but Knocked Loose/Kublai Khan vocals actually get me fucking pissed. Same with instruments, The End of All We Know is an amazing song but im more enthralled by the technicality of it than what i feel from it.

Agreed, and it's not even bc all of them were breakdowns, but breakdowns just changed so much. A breakdown like Dead Embryonic Cells or Domination will always hit harder than Deathcore

I have no idea how but deathcore can use all the same ingredients and be immediately so boring. It's like powdered stock vs actual stock in a soup. The flavour is the same but there's no depth
