Sometimes it's hard to tell which team is on the offensive and which one is defending. The earnings of male players are so high because their image generates revenue for sponsors who acquire their rights, and for the guaranteed economic return to the clubs that own their contracts through victories or participation in extremely popular worldwide tournaments. The market determines the compensation; I don't understand why everything nowadays has to be a gender issue! When women's football receives the same media coverage and arouses interest from billions of fans worldwide, then women will rightfully earn similar figures, because there will be someone profiting even more from their services.
@@sandrapatriciaoriguarios4589that one girl who came up 3 or 4 times in this video should quit football, she displayed no athletic prowess whatsoever, goalkeeping was her only option, she even blew that up
Men are watching men football. Women are not watching women football, women are busy doing other stuff than watching football. So where does the money come from if women are not that into watching football? Yet they want more money.
@@paulrichards6894 You would only need an under 17 male player as goalkeeper. The very best women barely match male under 17 teams and lose EVERY trial game against the boys at that age. And the boys say they are taking it easy so as not to injure the women with a full blooded tackle. The real comedy is that women expect good salaries and bigger payments when playing tournaments similar to mens. In reality no women is even fit to be water girl for Mens Internationals let alone worthy to step onto a pitch. Watching most female Internationals is like watching park teams playing. Hopeless for the majority of the game. The worst ranked Male FIFA team would give the best ranked womens team at FIFA 20+ goals start and still win by 20 goals. Their equal pay demands are a joke as what they get now is 20 times more than they earn.
somehow most of these occurred amongst the highest caliber players in womens soccer, and in the world cup too the amount of own goals in this womens world cup is more than the own goals in every mens world cup combined
@@lindaparsons4648 you're trying to convince us nearly a third of the goals in the entire tournament were own goals. Nearly one for every game? Either insanely dumb or bait.
The US team was pathetic. Barca femini tho: They have now played six games in Spotify Camp Nou, beating their own world record when 91,648 people watched the semi-final against Wolfsburg, and attracting 382,800 people to those half dozen fixtures. The club has also set records for gate takings, with 2.7 million euros generated in the 2022/23 season. In total, the women's football team raised 7.8 million euros last term, a 95% increase on 2021/22. And e-commerce has been another important growth area, rising 47% last season, and especially in the women's clothing sector, where growth was an immense 275%
if I was a coach for a women's team I'd tell them to just shoot the ball in the general direction of the goal and the opponent goalie will do the rest. maybe they should allow them to have male goalkeepers 😅
When I was 20 I was a Serie Eccellenza footballer, the 6th Italian league. I was a midfielder. If I returned to play in the women's league now, after 15 years and was a goalkeeper, I would win the women's Golden Ball hands down. The difference between men and women is scary.
I saw some great women's matches, fast, interesting and overal good. What is hilarious, these womens here are the best (in town, country) and got to the team. I want to see the less skillful ones... Jokes aside im always very surprised, how slow and clumsy some women's are. 10-12 years old boys seems faster and better in every aspect of the game (not to mension about more advanced terms like positioning, tactics etc.) Don't want to be disrespectful, but it's kinda crazy.
2:40 The 'cammeraman' might be 'doing perfectly his job', but the captioner certainly isn't. The spelling and grammar can be forgiven, but the irony of the on-screen placement...
