Rift shouldnt be in comp man, it isnt comp until rift is gone, its way too inconsistent, and showdown shouldnt be there either because it can tie without a tiebreaker and you lose points for tieing despite it not being a loss Comp was better when it was just survival, even though survival sucks, its way better than the other 2
What do we learn again and again whenever we step into comp? Rift sucks, and Bungie knows. But refuse to do shit about it. Great 6vs6 mode, terrible when in 3vs3.
I finally got the god roll snapshot-opening shot this week, and I couldn't be happier. Until RNG is kind to you as well, I've been loving this series and I can't wait to see more!!
My suffering is over. I procrastinated too much on the Rose so this time around I decided to play way earlier. Despite having the worst gaming session riddle with error codes, comp suspensions that weren't my fault and the meta etc... I got the roll that I wanted with decent handling. Miss me with anymore comp
That Warlock game on Convergence is just indisputable evidence that Rift does not belong in comp. And if you need further evidence just look at how they implemented Rift on Meltdown. (I wrote this before seeing the next match, and it's on Meltdown LMAO) All just to prove how little Bungie cares about PvP these days. It's barely on life support right now.
First week of comp, on third character I got Snap/Opening/Short Action Stock/Flared or Light Mag/Arrowhead or smallbore/Handling Masterwork. I very rarely snipe, but I always seem to get god roll snipers.
The atrociously painful RNG, limited to 3 a week, and SBMM making my placements fight people in the top 0.1%.... I think I'll pass even though I want one
Iv never been a big sniper and don’t play comp for the loot but I pulled a sniper out of my vault and it was a mercurial overreach with Snapshot, opening shot, and handling masterwork I never knew I got lol. Wish I could give it to you. It’s pretty good though, getting more into sniping
29:08 I feel that pain honestly… Waiting ALLLLLLLLL GAAAMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE to barely get my super to be shut down by a primary while trying to grapple and then not even being disappointed when I get shut down out of it… I don’t even pop it half the time I just do it after the game to bm lol
bless you man, trying to make pvp content in todays sandbox is absolute agony. i hope youre having fun with the game and not just playing it because you feel forced to. i sort of am just apathetic to the game at this point.
You aren’t the only one who can’t get snap opening shot on the snipe, my friend got it first week and I’m still hunting! Got snap moving and surplus opening though so meh.
Watching this makes me want to go play comp thinking I’m gonna play like him then I get aped by three titans with immortal adept and peacekeepers and want to uninstall
Ah at least FrostBolt read my stuff about Firmly planted over Snapshot. Snapshot is the old reliable but I think if you have the right Barrel and Stock maxing out handling it really isn't necessary, I mean look at cloudstrike for example, It is a top sniper pick and doesn't require SS, I can reliably Slide snipe with that, on console.
Bungie has already confirmed that the auto aim is far too powerful for Cloudstrike on console. Hitting something with this has absolutely nothing to do with skill or perks. U just have to aim at a player, scoope in and shoot...
I’ve gotta disagree with you on needing snapshot Frost. Max handling without snapshot is like identical. I’ve gotten a bunch of perfect rolls already. One being a 6/6 with snap. And a 6/6 with firmly planted. And I personally use the firmly planted one a whole lot more. I’ve tested a bunch of these rolls out too. A max handling Discord with OS is a lot of fun in 6s for one. And for anybody wondering, these rolls have been with a handling masterwork, fluted, ricochet, OS and a short action stock (+15 handling stock). The third perk only being different on each roll. Snap is not a necessity on this thing, I’m telling you. And this is coming from somebody who was the opposite about the thought in the past.
Same I used to be a .6 kd player who didn't care to get kills just have fun but since I've watched frostbolt I got good and now I'm at 1.68kd and loving pvp
