When I clicked on this video, I didn't even try, I just indulged myself in an overdose of nostalgia

now in 2024, everytime i see this kind of challenge, i’ll always play it as “how many songs you know and can sing” 😂

the amount of newer kpop fans that dont know these songs is heartbreaking

The moment you listen to Replay and realize you’ve become a noona

This makes me remember the good times when not everything in kpop was about competition and views

This ain't old, they're gold. New kpop groups is still good, but these group have something about their way of making music and presenting themselves, they just look organic, profesional, an unique, like you can't totally get every member spirit. Idk, I love them.

The most impressive of all of these songs were Lollipop btw. It was an ad for a phone, so it became viral and the sales for the phone were through the roof. The song itself topped even though it wasn’t a single. 2ne1 also got famous before their debut because people were curious to who the girls were. Ever since then, and now they’re still legends!

I lost at Sober by Bigbang and it wasnt even part of the challenge. LOL 😂

For me these songs are still young and alive becuz they still represent one generation's youth. Each generation of K-pop has its own spirit you can't compare different generations because they are that distinct yet connected in their artistry. I love the nostalgia 2nd gen could give me. Also I feel like there's a kind of lay-back vibes in their music no matter the genre which I don't quite see in the 4th gen now, but again they're all great in their own ways so K-pop is gold let's treasure it

I searched for "KPOP 2021 if youre old" and I was not disappointed. Nothing beats the classics. Obviously I sang along to most of them too!

So I started to listen to Kpop in the late 90s, early 2000s. It was a pretty natural progression, I grew up on anime, started listening to the intros, then got into JPop that way, then got into KPop because so many Kpop artists in 1st/2nd gen also sang in Japanese. I can't tell you the exact year, but I remember Hyori Lee releasing 10 Minutes and that was in 03 so before then! Anyway I'm in my 30s now and this era of K-pop is so meaningful to me, so many hits! I'm surprised you didn't include Jewelry, Ukiss, SS501, After school, rainbow, Teentop, Jinusean, 1tym, Sev7n, CNblue, ZE:A, Dal shabet and FTisland they were super iconic too!! BTW: may be to make it actually hard you should use songs that weren't very popular back then, those chosen were extremely popular, even current idols make covers of some of them

As a second-gen kpoper. I must say I loose at just the beginning and love it. This are masterpieces, is sad that many kpop fans don't know This and are not interested on them. Don't they know that they current idols were inspired by these amazing works? And must say that even if the dances were not that hard were very artistic and the musically is another level for sure

I really like reading stories about how people got into kpop, since the most have different discovery stories. For me it was almost 8 years ago when I stumbled upon a cover for suju's Mr. Simple and got curious so I searched the original song and from then just started watching every super junior MV

First off Gundam Style is HOW old?! Whut. Fantastic Baby nearly got me and starting Lollipop with T.O.P. is cheating! Held strong through Big Bang, Shinee and Super Junior. Ring Ding Dong has been my ringtone for nearly 7 years and hearing that I kept looking to see who was calling! 😅 So many songs here I remember.

These groups and songs inspired me so much growing up. I’m in my late twenties now but when I was a teen I auditioned a lot and actually ended up on an SBS show and got flown out to Korea. Such a great memory. Felt good to listen to these songs again ❤ dancing and singing are my first loves and kpop gave me the confidence to pursue my dream.

I lost when Gee started playing it's so catchy and Girls Generation are too iconic to not sing along too and I also sang along to Kara such a catchy song also! I also sang along to Bubble Pop, Electric Shock, Hands Up, Touch My Body, Only One and Fantastic Baby! 6 more iconic songs! And I tapped my foot to the song Bar Bar Bar by Crayon Pop! Also I tapped my foot and along to Hush by Miss A! I also tapped my foot, bobbed my head and sang along to I Got A Boy & Mr Mr by Girls Generation!

I regularly listened only to girl groups during this era, but I miss this era. Kpop fandom was fun, and chill. Real fans who love the music more than the artists. All the songs sound more authentic, too.

Ignored the rules and enjoyed the music. There's something about these songs that I miss. Twas as 2011-2012 and I was a new kpop fan. I remember unnies back then are so welcoming in the community. I was welcomed by Primadonna seniors, Blackjack seniors, VIP seniors, VIP seniors and ELF seniors. Exo-L were just babies back then. We talked about how the music video look and how wonderful the songs are. There were some hatred but mostly against kpop fans but it was quite peaceful and the community was loving. I just dont know what happened.

"Replay" was enough for me to break. Almost all SM songs were hard and surprisingly the ballads were tough since I knew all the words.

A lot of songs were difficult, but I managed to just smile in most cases, except Gangnam Style, which made me laugh when it came on. It was especially difficult with BoA songs because tbh I've followed her on and off since 'Every Heart' was in Inuyasha, so her music is very nostalgic... but I managed to clear everything without breaking the rules 😅

Back to the times that fans are not toxic unlike right now. No dating scandals in every collaboration,idols can interact freely. Music and mv are not about views and likes but people love it because of its quality. I miss the old kpop
