Try Not to Tic with Tourettes Tiktok Challenge 

This was absolute chaos. But I hope you enjoyed it anyways. How long did you last?

I tried doing this challenge with you and I have Tourette’s syndrome and I won, but now my chest hurts so freaking bad, now I regret holding in my tics.

I won't lie. I did terrible at this challenge, I lost in a few seconds.

I don't have Tourettes, so I feel bad when I tic, because people think I'm faking it and being weird and trying to be "quirky" when in all actuality I have severe anxiety, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder and etc(yes all diagnosed.) So I have randomly little tics, there just mostly motor, but they get really bad when I'm around other people that tic, I will sometimes go it to a full episode where I can't talk and can't stop ticking, and I feel bad cause I don't want people to think im pretending to have it to be quirky like some people do. I even sometimes think I'm faking it myself because it doesn't happen unless I'm anxious, I think about, or im around people that tic, but everytime I remember that in the end, I'm not faking it, I literally have bruises because of it and sometimes cant move my head cause how sore and tense my neck is from ticking. Sorry I just went on a whole rant, I just wanted to be able to say that for once

I’m watching this vid rly late 😅 I only lasted to the first second of the video pretty much 🙄✋🏼 My worst tic experience is probably: (It’s not an experience with tics, but it’s about them. I do however have a tic disorder) I told one of my “friends” about my tics so they didn’t think I was just being weird for no reason, and then later that day they told me they told someone and my entire school was talking about how I was “faking” my tics. I literally have a doctors note with me saying I have a tic disorder in case anyone questions me when I need to have accommodations, and I showed it and they still didn’t believe me. People are so arrogant sometimes

I 90% of the time have nerves of steel while driving. 1. I lived and drove in LA at 19-20yrs of age. 2. My son tics a lot in heavy traffic.

I’m going on holiday abroad soon and keep ticking its like the titanic, I hope u can swim, bomb bomb bomb, we’re illegal. All things like that and my parents don’t understand so I’m quite nervous as I haven’t traveled since my tics started

I keep going I do that wait I’m not weird and then going like bro and then I relise that’s one of my tics because I forgot (I have bad memory) and then I put my hands on my head and that’s and it’s like a loop because I’m like disappointed I just ticced and then I go bruh with a voice crack and then tHatS A Tic tO do That Voice And LikE I do the hands thing again it’s like both funny and like rethinking my life

I don’t have Tourette’s but I have tics. They just came back yesterday after being gone for a while. I didn’t even last through the first tiktok lol. Also, my favorite tic is probably “excuse me, sir” or just “sir”. It’s safe to use at work and in public. Makes me laugh a bit. Question: sometimes my body tenses/a limb will go stiff and tense. Is that a tic or could it be? Does anyone else have that?
